  • Publication number: 20240033338
Abstract: An aspect provides a vaccine composition for preventing tuberculosis comprising chorismate mutase. The vaccine composition alone may induce immunity specific to Mycobacterium tuberculosis, and when provided together with an immune adjuvant, the vaccine composition may induce immunity specific to tuberculosis more effectively. Furthermore, when an existing vaccine for tuberculosis is used as a prime and the vaccine composition according to an aspect including chorismite mutase is provided as a booster, the immunity specific to tuberculosis may be induced significantly more effectively.

  • Publication number: 20230321222
Abstract: Provided is an immune adjuvant including a polypeptide consisting of an amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 2. The polypeptide is a hepatitis B virus-derived polypeptide, is effective in enhancing immunity through co-administration with vaccines as a single immune adjuvant, and in particular, when coadministered with another immune adjuvant, may exhibit a more remarkable immunity enhancement effect. Furthermore, the polypeptide is a single molecule having only 6 amino acids, is not cytotoxic, and has excellent in vivo stability.

  • Patent number: 11512317
Abstract: Provided is a recombinant BCG employing a pMyong2 vector system to express HIV-1 p24 and a use thereof as a HIV-1 vaccine. rBCG-pMyong2-p24, which is a pMyong2 vector system, was found to induce the upregulation of HIV-1 p24 gag expression in rBCG and infected antigen-presenting cells (APC) and to induce improved p24-specific immune responses in vaccinated mice, compared to rBCG-pAL-p24 in a pAL5000 derived vector system. rBCG-pMyong2-p24 was identified to exhibit a higher p24-specific Ab production level than rSmeg-pMyong2-p24 in the same pMyong2 vector system. Therefore, the recombinant BCG employing rBCG-pMyong2-p24 to express HIV-1 p24 according to the present invention is identified to elicit enhanced immune responses to HIV-1 infection in mouse model systems and thus can be expected to be used as a prime vaccine in the heterologous prime-boost vaccination strategy against HIV-1 infection.
