  • Patent number: 9346539
Abstract: An aircraft landing gear self-orients so to align itself within a plane parallel to the plane defined by the aircraft's roll and yaw axis. A nose gear of a tricycle landing gear configuration includes the ability to not only caster 360 degrees but also self-orient itself to be aligned parallel with the plane defined by the aircraft's roll and yaw axis once removed from any interaction with the ground. A simple and efficient mechanical design provides the landing gear with a substantially constant centering torque that neither impedes nor impairs ground movement yet returns the nose gear to a proper alignment for retraction and stowage.
    Type: Grant

Abstract: Electric aircraft, including in-flight rechargeable electric aircraft, and methods of operating electric aircraft, including methods for recharging electric aircraft in-flight, through the use of an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) flying independent of and in proximity to the electric aircraft. The electric aircraft and methods of operating and recharging same may involve establishing, in-flight, an electrical connection between the aircraft and the UAV flying in proximity to the aircraft and transferring electricity from an electricity source associated with the UAV to the aircraft through the electrical connection.

  • Patent number: 7131157
Abstract: A bag/bed assembly comprising a first layer, which first layer receives and stores a second layer, and a third layer housed entirely within the second layer. Said first layer, when storing said second layer, serves as a seating apparatus. When you remove the second layer from the first layer, the second layer, is spaced out in a fully open position, having a substantially rectangular configuration that serves as a portable bed.

  • Patent number: 5836935
Abstract: An implantable, refillable, rate-controlled drug delivery device, with a hollow reservoir, and a drug delivery tube communicating with the hollow reservoir. The drug delivery tube includes at least one rate-limiting permeable membrane which regulates drug delivery. A method of controlling the delivery of a drug to an internal portion of a body is disclosed.

  • Patent number: 4613323
Abstract: An apparatus and its method of use are provided allowing lavage, sump and enteral feeding operations with only one intubation. The apparatus includes a first tube having two distinct passageways. One of these passageways completely contains a second, feeding tube during intubation. Once the first tube is in place in the patient, the second tube is extended from the first tube so as to enter the stomach. The extension of the second tube opens ports in the first passageway of the first tube, thereby allowing sump or lavage treatment with the second passageway of the first tube serving as an air vent. A constriction in the end of the first passageway engages a band on the proximal end of the second tube to keep the tubes together.
