  • Patent number: 11973960
Abstract: A video encoding/decoding apparatus according to the present invention acquires motion vector refinement information, performs motion compensation on the basis of a motion vector of a current block, refines the motion vector of the current block using at least one or both of the motion vector refinement information and the output of the motion compensation, and performs motion compensation using the refined motion vector.

  • Patent number: 7522142
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device includes: a liquid crystal panel having gate lines and data lines, the gate lines and the data lines defining pixels; a gate driver for providing scan signals to the gate lines of the liquid crystal panel; and a data driver for providing video data to the data lines of the liquid crystal panel. The gate driver outputs a high-potential gate voltage to one gate line and outputs a low-potential gate voltage to the remaining gate lines. An output current of the low-potential gate voltage is different from that of the high-potential gate voltage.

  • Patent number: 7423618
Abstract: A dithering method and apparatus for a liquid crystal display is provided, wherein dithering with frame rate control and dithering without frame rate control can be selectively performed in accordance with the pattern characteristics of the input data to prevent the picture quality deterioration which can result from FRC dithering video data representing specific patterns. The pattern characteristic of the input video data is determined by a phase difference comparison between adjacent video data. A first dithering process is performed on the video data if pattern characteristic of the video data is determined to be a specific pattern, and a second dithering process utilizing a frame rate control is performed on the video data if the pattern characteristic is determined to be a general pattern.

  • Patent number: 6567064
Abstract: A liquid crystal display device that is adapted to reduce flicker. In the device, a plurality of common voltage lines are formed into a spherical shape on a lower substrate to deliver a common voltage to an upper substrate. A plurality of link points are formed between the common voltage delivering lines to deliver the common voltage to a transparent electrode film. A plurality of links are provided between the link points to have a different resistance value. Accordingly, a flicker is prevented to improve a picture quality.
