    Abstract: A structure and method for bonding heat-insulating protection walls of a liquefied natural gas carrier is provided. Each of the heat-insulating protection walls is formed of an insulation foam layer and a fiber-reinforced composite reinforcing sheet attached to a surface of the insulation foam layer. The heat-insulating protection walls are provided in a tank of the liquefied natural gas carrier in a mutually adjoining relationship and bonded to one another at a junction to keep the tank cold. The structure includes a fiber-reinforced composite joint sheet positioned in alignment with the juncture of the heat-insulating protection walls and bonded to the fiber-reinforced composite reinforcing sheet by an adhesive agent and a spacer interposed between the fiber-reinforced composite reinforcing sheet and the fiber-reinforced composite joint sheet for keeping the adhesive agent uniform in thickness.

The plastic optical fiber is inserted into the first and second through holes of the coupling. An optical fiber holding jig is inserted into the second through hole and surrounds the plastic optical fiber. A fastening bolt has a hole into which the plastic optical fiber is inserted. The fastening bolt is threaded into the coupling to bring the optical fiber holding jig into close contact with the plastic optical fiber. A fastening nut is threaded over the connector to dispose the coupling in the center hole of the connector.

    Abstract: A solar lighting apparatus uses optical fibers to transmit solar light for illumination. The apparatus includes a support frame, optical fibers, a hybrid solar light diffuser and a reflective sheet. The optical fibers are fastened to the support frame and are spaced apart from each other at regular intervals. The hybrid solar light diffuser is coupled to a lower portion of the support frame and includes a diffusion plate and diffusion lenses which are provided on the diffusion plate at positions corresponding to the respective optical fibers. Each diffusion lens has a width increasing from a top thereof to a bottom. An incident depression is formed in the upper end of each diffusion lens. A reflective surface is formed on the circumferential outer surface of each diffusion lens to diffuse and reflect solar light. The reflective sheet is applied to the lower surface of the support frame.

Further, a time offset compensation value and/or a carrier frequency offset compensation value are found by employing the time offset linear phase and/or the carrier frequency offset linear phase.
