  • Publication number: 20160157773
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for an electronic device. The method may include: acquiring a galvanic skin response; generating a first parameter for a first interval and a second parameter for a second interval based on the galvanic skin response, the second interval being an interval before the first interval; determining a first threshold corresponding to the first interval based on the second parameter; and determining an activity state of the first interval based on the first threshold and the first parameter corresponding to the first interval.

  • Publication number: 20160058366
Abstract: Wearable electronic devices, systems, and methods for monitoring sleep are described. In one method, motion sensor values of the current motion of the electronic device are acquired and the change in motion intensity of an electronic device is calculated by comparing motion sensor values over two or more time periods. If the change in motion intensity fits a predetermined pattern, it is determined whether the electronic device is currently being worn. If it is determined that the electronic device is currently being worn, sleep monitoring is performed.

  • Publication number: 20150087930
Abstract: A method and apparatus for measuring a first bio-signal from a user in an unrestrictive manner are provided. The method includes extracting a second bio-signal including a motion signal and a respiration signal, based on the first bio-signal; determining an apnea measurement reference signal including a respiration measurement signal and a motion measurement signal, based on the second bio-signal; dividing the apnea measurement reference signal by a first time interval to generate a first evaluation signal, and dividing the first evaluation signal by a second time interval, that is smaller than the first time interval, to generate second evaluation signals; calculating standard deviation information based on the second evaluation signals; and determining a sleeping pattern for the second time intervals corresponding to the second evaluation signals, based on the standard deviation information.

  • Patent number: 8376964
Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus for analyzing a sleep structure according to non-restrictive weight detection. The apparatus includes load cells one installed in the predetermined locations of a bed and configured to detect the weight of a target person; low-pass filters for outputting low-pass filtered signals that belong to the outputs of the load cells; high-pass filters for outputting high-pass filtered signals that belong to the outputs of the load cells; a multiplexer for selecting any one from among the outputs of the low-pass filters and the high-pass filters; a controller configured to detect information about the target person's sleep from the low-pass filtered signals and the high-pass filtered signals, which belong to the outputs of the high-pass filters and the low-pass filters, respectively, and are input through the multiplexer, and determine the target person's sleeping pattern; and a display unit for displaying determination results of the controller.
