    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for obtaining a viewing channel identifier when a user desires to participate in a video broadcast in a channel the user is viewing in a section of an interactive broadcast service. The present invention may include an audio/video receiver to collect broadcast data from a user viewing channel, and extract audio/video data from the collected broadcast data, a sampling unit to sample the extracted audio/video data, a preprocessing unit to encode the sampled audio/video data, and a viewing channel determining unit to compare the encoded audio/video data to audio/video sampling data for N broadcast channels received from a channel identification server, and obtain a viewing channel identifier according to a result of comparison.

Since the burst mode optical repeater can be installed anywhere between an optical line terminal (OLT) and the ONUs, the number of subscribers and transmission range that can be supported by a corresponding network can be increased.

    Abstract: Provided is a method of obtaining spatial images on demand. The server segments a spatial image into a plurality of regions to detect an isolated region whose continuity with peripheral regions is less than a threshold value, generates geographic information corresponding to the detected isolated region, and generates a capture request message including the generated geographic information. In addition, the capture request message may be transmitted to at least one terminal using unicast scheme, a multicast scheme, an anycast scheme, or a broadcast scheme. The capture request message may comprise a capture condition value such as a capture direction, a capture angle, a capture time, a zoom information and an exposure value. At least one terminal which meets the capture condition value within the capture request message transmits a captured image to the server.

The data reception apparatus includes a strobe extractor for receiving a transmission signal and extracting a strobe signal from the transmission signal, the transmission signal including the strobe signal inserted between data signals and a clock signal following the strobe signal, the strobe signal having a different magnitude from a magnitude of a data signal, and the clock signal having an equal magnitude to the magnitude of the data signal, a clock recoverer for recovering the clock signal from the transmission signal, using the extracted strobe signal, and a sampler for sampling the data signals included in the transmission signal in response to the recovered clock signal. The probability of generating a timing skew error in the time interval between a clock signal and a data signal is minimized. Even though the level of a common component might change, the clock signal can be recovered accurately and the size of the clock recovery circuit can be reduced.
