  • Patent number: 7738388
Abstract: Provided is an operational status testing apparatus and method for an Ethernet-based APS process. A test command signal which contains a command to perform an operational test for the APS process of a first node and a second test response signal that indicates that the operation of the APS process of a second node is performed normally, from among far end request signals that are received from the second node connected to own first node via an Ethernet network, are filtered.

  • Patent number: 7623444
Abstract: An apparatus and method for a redundancy control in duplex switch boards in a high speed network system are provided. The apparatus includes: a switching unit for switching data inputted one of the duplex switch boards to a destination line card; a state controlling unit for controlling a clock state of an opponent switch board between the duplex switch boards; an IPC controlling unit for controlling an inter processor communication (IPC) of a platform of the communication network system; a processing unit for controlling the IPC controlling unit and the state controlling unit of the duplex switch boards; and a clock controlling unit for synchronizing a clock between the duplex switch boards.

  • Patent number: 7590112
Abstract: There is provided a packet forwarding processing apparatus of a high speed routing system and a routing lookup method using the same. The packet forwarding processing apparatus includes: a routing table storage unit; a routing table management unit; and a routing table lookup unit. The routing table storage unit is used for storing routing table entries which are built based on a collected routing information. The routing table management unit is used for modifying, creating, and deleting the table entries of the routing table storage unit. The routing table lookup unit is used for looking up destination route information from the routing tables stored in routing table storage unit, in which the destination route information is associated with destination address extracted from an input data packet.

  • Patent number: 7492782
Abstract: A high speed and high capacity switching apparatus is disclosed. The apparatus includes: N input ports each of which for outputting maximum l cells in a time slot, wherein each of the N input ports includes N virtual output queues (VOQs) which are grouped in l virtual output queues group with n VOQs; N×N switch fabric having l2 crossbar switch units for scheduling cells inputted from N input ports based on a first arbitration function based on a round-robin, wherein l VOQ groups are connected to l XSUs; and N output ports connected to l XSUs for selecting one cell from l XSUs in a cell time slot by scheduling cells by a second arbitration function based on a backlog weighed round-robin, which operates independently of the first arbitration function, and transferring the selected cell to its output link.
