  • Publication number: 20230031272
Abstract: This disclosure relates to exact sun-tracking devices by the principle of exact sun-following by independent 2-DOF, which says if the daily rotation axis is installed on a ground structure in parallel with the earth's rotation axis and the elevation angle axis is mounted perpendicularly to the daily rotation axis then the two rotational degrees of freedom are independent of each other. This property makes a separate intermittent control with a forward half-step setting very efficient and energy-saving. A control system by a wire loop driving mechanism has several advantages, holding the structure securely, relieving a motor weight from the over-structure, and allowing a simple economic control with self-locking. Three structural types are categorized: a long shaft type, a tip-tilt type, and a tension structure type. An array sun-tracking device with an efficient wire loop actuating mechanism illustrates a preferred sun power generation system for general and industrial applications.

  • Publication number: 20180161818
Abstract: Most vibration generators that use rotating eccentric masses of prior arts have disadvantages in controlling vibration magnitude such as stopping equipment, adjusting intermittently, or limitation on control range. In the present invention to continuously change the direction of a generated vibration force or its magnitude, the principle of synthesizing simple harmonic motions by phase shifting is used and two methods, called a mechanical phase shifting and a motor speed controlled phase shifting, are provided. A mechanical phase shifting device includes an angle adjusting plate to change the phases of two eccentric mass rotators and two pairs of gears and links for a reverse rotation of eccentric masses. A motor speed controlled phase shifting is enabled by acceleration and deceleration of a motor. A moment generator comprises two sets of eccentric mass vibrators connected by extending shafts between them and can be used for industry shakers, stabilizer's for floating bodies, and so on.

  • Patent number: 8708172
Abstract: A crane for loading and unloading a cargo includes multi-stage trolley. The multi-stage trolley for a crane includes a first trolley movable in a longitudinal direction along a boom of the crane; a second trolley movable in a lateral direction on the first trolley; a hoisting wire provided in the longitudinal direction along the boom; a spreader connected to the hoisting wire through the first trolley and the second trolley and supported by the hoisting wire, the spreader being movable in a vertical direction according to a movement of the hoisting wire. The multi-stage trolley further includes a sheave block unit for changing a direction of the hoisting wire to maintain a vertical level of the spreader constant when the first trolley and/or the second trolley is moved.

  • Patent number: 8490557
Abstract: A balance maintaining equipment for a floating body includes a driving device for rotating a driving shaft; a first eccentric rotating body positioned at one side of the driving device and connected to the driving shaft to rotate around the driving shaft by the rotation thereof; and a second eccentric rotating body positioned at the other side of the driving device and connected to the driving shaft to rotate around the driving shaft by the rotation thereof, while having a phase difference of 180 degrees from the rotation of the first eccentric rotating body. The balance maintaining equipment generates the moment in the opposite direction to the roll of the floating body. Furthermore, when the roll period of the floating body is changed, the balance maintaining equipment varies the angular velocity of the driving shaft to interwork with the roll period of the floating body.

  • Publication number: 20110155683
Abstract: A crane spreader for use in lifting a container includes an attachment unit, a head block, a frame unit, a position adjustment unit and a fixation unit. The attachment unit detachably attaches the crane spreader to an upper surface of the container. The head block has a pulley connected to a trolley of a crane through a cable and coupled to the attachment unit to restrict a horizontal movement the attachment unit with respect to the head block. The frame unit is supported by the head block to be horizontally movable with respect to the head block, the frame unit being disposed below the head block with a gap therebetween. The position adjustment unit aligns the frame unit with the container by displacing the frame unit with respect to the attachment unit. The fixation unit engages the container with the frame unit.
