    Abstract: Provided is an impact modified copolyester prepared from a reaction of an aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and a diol component. The aromatic dicarboxylic acid component is terephthalic acid or an ester derivative thereof, and the diol component comprises a mixture of 1,4 butanediol and an alkoxylated bisphenol A. The combination of the 1,4 butanediol and alkoxylated bisphenol A provides for a polyester exhibiting superior impact properties.
