  • Patent number: 9001729
Abstract: A transceiver including, a codec, microcontroller, and radio. The codec including an analog to digital converter for receiving a first audio program and converting it to a first digital signal; a digital to analog converter for receiving a second digital audio signal and converting it to a second audio program; and, a control function for managing characteristics of the codec. The microcontroller is in electrical communication with the codec: for receiving the first digital audio signal from the codec and packetizing it into a first packet for transmission over a TCP/IP network; for receiving a second packet from network and converting it into the second digital audio signal and sending it to the codec; and for receiving control signals from the network. The radio is in electrical communication with the microcontroller for connection to the network to transmit the first packet to the network and receive the second packet from the network.

  • Publication number: 20140160760
Abstract: A lighting apparatus comprises a light panel having a panel frame, and a plurality of LEDs or other light elements secured to the panel frame. Lenses and/or filters are adjusted in distance from the light elements, by for example moving the lenses/filters into different slot positions of the frame, to alter characteristics of the emitted light. Focal lenses, diffusion lenses, and color filters may be used individually or in combination. A compound lens includes lens elements having different characteristics arranged in a pattern. Through groupwise control of the intensity of the light elements, the different characteristics are emphasized or de-emphasized. The light panel may have an integrated battery, and may be mounted on a stand. The panel may be modular, allowing larger panels to be constructed from smaller panels.

  • Patent number: 8434310
Abstract: A trim valve includes a valve housing having an inlet section and an outlet section. A valve shaft is mounted to the valve housing to be stationary with respect thereto. The valve shaft includes an internal flow passage in fluid communication with the outlet section of the valve housing. A valve rotor is disposed inboard of the valve housing and outboard of the valve shaft for modulating flow through the valve housing. The valve rotor is mounted for rotational movement within the valve housing between a fully open position in which a flow path is defined between the inlet and outlet sections of the valve housing, and a reduced flow position in which the valve rotor at least partially blocks the flow path. An actuator is operatively connected to the valve housing to actuate the valve rotor between the fully open and reduced flow positions.

  • Publication number: 20130056706
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods of using quantum dots or Q dots or a similar nanocrystal to transfer, for example, excess LED light energy in the blue band to the red band where such LEDs tend to be deficient. This approach would balance the overall spectrum of the LED without a corresponding loss in brightness as would be the case where the light from the LED was passed through a conventional filter. The Q dots could be applied to the lens portion of the LED after the high temperature processes are completed or coated to a clear filter to be placed in the LED light path.

  • Publication number: 20120126069
Abstract: A system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises a base for attachment to, for example, the right side of a rack. The system further comprises at least one swing arm hingedly attached to the base. A cable support may be attached to the swing arm. The swing arm has a free end which is releasably attached to a latch plate. The latch plate is attached to the rack opposite the side of the base. In this way, the swing arm spans a part of the width of the rack from base to latch plate. The latch plate may move to enable access by a person to a fan tray of a network device installed in the rack.
