  • Patent number: 10279237
Abstract: A sports training apparatus occludes peripheral vision of each eye across the nose region of a player by creating a visual divide that extends from and immediately adjacent to the nose along the central sagittal plane. In various embodiments, the visual divide is extendible, removable and replaceable, pivotal, and may incorporate scribes to vary shape or geometry. The visual divide may further be mounted from a pair of glasses without lenses, though other embodiments with and without lenses are contemplated. The eye divider is used to align or confirm alignment of a player properly to ensure that the player batter has both eyes facing in the proper direction.

  • Publication number: 20180372978
Abstract: A fiber optic cassette includes a housing with a base and a cover. The base defines an open front between first and second sidewalls, which transition into first and second curved rear wall portions. The first and second curved rear wall portions define an adapter mount therebetween forming at least one pocket. A signal entry location defined by at least one MPO adapter is positioned within the pocket and defines an exterior port and an interior port. A fiber optic cable connectorized by an MPO format connector is mated to the exterior port. An adapter block defining a plurality of second fiber optic adapters is mounted to the base via a first snap-fit interlock to close the open front, each second fiber optic adapter including an exterior port and an interior port.

  • Patent number: 7496785
Abstract: In a RAID storage system, a parity value is generated. The storage system includes a RAID adapter, a plurality of disk array processors managing corresponding sets of RAID storage drives, and a connecting fabric. The RAID adapter initiates a parity generation operation, parallel instructions are dispatched for the array processors to each generate a partial parity value from data blocks on drives on respective managed RAID storage drives, the partial parity value is received in the RAID adapter from each array processor, and the partial parity values are combined in the RAID adapter to generate a complete parity value. The parity value may be an actual parity block to be stored on a hard disk drive or may be a reconstructed data block in the event of a failed drive.

  • Patent number: 7353318
Abstract: A method is disclosed to assign addresses to a plurality of data storage devices. The method provides a switch and (N) data storage devices, where each of those (N) data storage devices is interconnected with said switch. The method further establishes (M) device addresses, where (M) is less than (N), and assigns a different one of each of the (M) device addresses to a different one of the (N) data storage devices, such that the (N) data storage devices comprise (M) address-assigned data storage devices and (P) non-address-assigned data storage devices. The method then detects a failure of the (i)th address-assigned data storage device, and transfers the (i)th address from the failed address-assigned data storage device to the (j)th data storage device, where that (j)th data storage device comprises one of the (P) previously non-addressed data storage devices.

  • Publication number: 20080043563
Abstract: Data transfer between input/output devices and memory is controlled. Data transfer begins under the control of one control block, and control of the data transfer is passed from the one control block to another control block, in response to transferring an amount of data specified in the one control block. The passing of control occurs independent of a memory boundary, providing flexibility in controlling the data transfer. Each control block includes fields that control and facilitate the data transfer.
