  • Patent number: 12114900
Abstract: Various embodiments described herein provide devices and associated methods for treating spinal disease by implanting one or more interspinous process spacing devices. In one embodiment, an interspinous process spacing device includes a first attachment side, a second attachment side, a spacer tray, and a securing means. The spacer tray extends from the first attachment side and is slideably insertable through a spacer tray slot formed in the second attachment side. The spacer tray is adapted to be positioned between a spinous process of a first vertebra and a spinous process of an adjacent second vertebra, and the spacer tray includes a trough formed in a top surface of the spacer tray. The securing means is configured to engage the trough of the spacer tray to secure the second attachment side relative to the first attachment side.

  • Publication number: 20240016453
Abstract: Devices and methods for monitoring internal physiological parameters of animals. Such a device and method makes use of a housing configured for implantation in an animal, and at least first and second arms pivotally coupled to the housing to have a collapsed configuration and a deployed configuration, wherein the first and second arms are alongside the housing and approximately parallel to the longitudinal axis in the collapsed configuration, expanded outward away from the housing and not parallel to the longitudinal axis in the deployed configuration, and biased toward the deployed configuration. Sensors are associated with the housing for collecting physiological parameters of the animal. The device is further equipped with a wireless transmitter for wirelessly transmitting outputs of the sensors to a receiver while the housing is implanted internally within the animal and the receiver is located externally of the animal.

  • Patent number: 10885716
Abstract: A mixed reality display system determines a shared coordinate system that is understood by a mixed reality application running on the mixed reality display system and an operating system of the mixed reality display system. The operating system can display a system user interface (UI) element in a mixed reality environment. The system UI element can be displayed at a location in a mixed reality environment. The location is specified by the mixed reality application according to the shared coordinate system. A size and orientation for displaying the system UI element may also be specified. Also, the location, size and orientation may be specified through application program interfaces (API) of the operating system. API calls may be made per frame to adjust the location, size or orientation per frame of the displayed mixed reality environment.
