  • Publication number: 20110150872
Abstract: A soluble receptor that binds to IL-20 having two polypeptide subunits, IL-22R and IL-20RB. The two subunits are preferably linked together. In one embodiment one subunit is fused to the constant region of the light chain of an immunoglobulin, and the other subunit is fused to the constant region of the heavy chain of the immunoglobulin. The light chain and the heavy chain are connected via a disulfide bond.

  • Publication number: 20110086004
Abstract: Methods for treating cancer by co-administering a therapeutic monoclonal antibody with IL-21 are described. Exemplary monoclonal antibodies that can be used are rituximab, trastuzumab and anti-CTLA-4 antibodies. The enhanced antitumor of the combination therapy is particularly useful for patient populations that are recalcitrant to monoclonal therapy, relapse after treatment with monoclonal antibodies or where the enhanced IL-21 antitumor effect reduces toxicities associated with treatment using the monoclonal antibodies.

  • Patent number: 7775100
Abstract: A real-time line management system and associated methods. A line management system for use in conjunction with an operation in a subterranean well includes a line installed in the well during the operation, and a computing device which indicates a used life of the line during the operation. A method of managing a line used in an operation in a subterranean well includes the steps of: installing the line in the well during the operation; and determining a used life of the line while the line is installed in the well. A method of managing a line used in multiple operations in one or more subterranean wells includes the steps of: estimating conditions which will be experienced by the line during a future operation; and predicting before the future operation what a used life of the line will be after the line is used in the future operation.

  • Publication number: 20100161503
Abstract: A system and method for online employment recruiting and evaluation is provided. An online, web-based environment allows employers to create job descriptions for posting on an Internet-based job search service in communication with the web-based environment, and allows for online recruitment and review of hiring candidates using a multi-phase approach. An employer can create an initial questionnaire associated with the job descriptions, which must be answered by potential employees as part of the recruitment and hiring process. A virtual dossier is created for each potential employee, is stored in a database, and can be reviewed by the employer. An employer can select desired candidates based upon information provided in response to the initial questionnaire, and selected candidates can be provided with a second questionnaire which asks the selected candidates to provide information about previous employers/supervisors.

  • Patent number: 7675300
Abstract: An apparatus including a positioner control device, a measuring device and a control routine. The positioner control device is communicatively coupled to a chamber of a charged particle beam device (CPBD) and is configured to individually manipulate each of a plurality of probes within the CPBD chamber to establish contact between ones of the plurality of probes and corresponding ones of a plurality of contact points of a sample positioned in the CPBD chamber. The measuring device is communicatively coupled to the CPBD and the positioner control device and is configured to perform one of a measurement and a detection of a characteristic associated with one of the plurality of contact points. The control routine is configured to at least partially automate control of at least one of the CPBD, the positioner control device and the measuring device.
