  • Patent number: 5208787
Abstract: A sound wave generator is effective for producing ultrasonic sound wave vibrations as well as low frequency vibrations which are offensive to rodents. A wiring conductor which serves as a sonic radiator is attached to an end portion of a solenoid rod which is reciprocated by a coil which is energized by alternating current power. The solenoid rod is permitted to vibrate within a hollow spool, and the sonic radiator is mechanically coupled to the solenoid rod by a high compliance, conductive metal spring. Ultrasonic sound waves are produced by forming the solenoid rod of a ferromagnetic material which is characterized by magnetostriction in the presence of an alternating magnetic field. The amplitude of sound wave vibration is intensified by selecting the length and diameter of the solenoid rod so that its natural frequency of vibration is in harmony with either the pulse frequency of the electromagnetic driving force, or alternatively, the frequency of ultrasonic sounds produced by magnetostriction.

  • Patent number: 5136785
Abstract: A device adapted to be mounted on a wall for vertically and horizontally aligning masonry corners. The device comprises a pair of members connected at a joint, the members defining an interior angle of approximately 90 degrees and a corresponding exterior angle of approximately 270 degress. An adjustable, elongated rod is mounted at the joint to bisect, in the alternative either the interior or exterior angle. A plumb line is secured to the elongated rod a selected distance from the joint.

  • Patent number: 4430832
Abstract: A floor sealing gasket is described for use under wall panels in cooler constructions. The gasket comprises an elongate strip having a base with a generally flat bottom surface. A flexible downwardly projecting tip extends along at least one edge of the bottom surface of the base and generally parallel arms extend upwardly from each side of the base. The upper portion of each arm includes a flexible wing which is biased inwardly.

  • Patent number: 4149349
Abstract: A prefabricated consumable assembly for forming a concrete wall structure includes a pair of spaced apart side plates interconnected on their ends by transverse tie members. A single or a pair of insulating panels is positioned within the side plates and structure is associated with each tie member which defines grooves for receiving and holding the side edges of the insulating panel or panels. The groove defining structure may be formed by a detachable clip mounted on the tie members or entirely or in part integral with the tie members. Mechanism is provided for interlocking assembled ones of the prefabricated assemblies to form a wall structure including an inside corner. The side plates may be arranged for bending to form corners.
