  • Patent number: 4826195
Abstract: A transverse beam is disposed between and pivotally connected to the rear ends of a pair of load-receiving frame members on a tractor truck. An elongated housing is secured to and depends from the transverse beam. A sleeve is slidably mounted on the housing. A hydraulically actuated ram is mounted in the housing and is operatively connected to the sleeve. A pair of relatively spaced apart elevator arms are pivotally connected at one of their ends to the truck frame members and at intermediate positions to opposite sides of the sleeve, and a hitch mechanism is secured to the ends of the elevator arms outwardly of the sleeve.
