  • Publication number: 20210212219
Abstract: A protective enclosure for electrical components includes a body having front and end openings, the body further including front, rear, and two side panels. A door selectively closes the front opening. An end cap closes the end opening. A ledge surrounds the end opening, the ledge lying perpendicular to the front, rear, and side panels, and a plurality of apertures are provided along the ledge. A gasket provides a seal between the end cap and ledge. A plurality of fasteners embedded into the end cap engage with a plurality of clips assembled onto the ledge at the plurality of apertures so as to form a permanent, one-time-use closure that compresses the gasket and maintains compression thereof in response to nothing more than movement of the end cap toward the ledge in a single installation direction perpendicular to the ledge.

  • Patent number: 11028204
Abstract: Curable compositions include: a) at least one (meth)acrylate monomer or oligomer and b) at least one mono-functional (meth)acrylate monomer comprising a polycyclic moiety having at least three rings that are fused or condensed. The compositions may comprise an initiator system to render the compositions as curable. The compositions may comprise both the a) and b) components in an amount from about 30% to about 70% by weight. The compositions described herein are advantageous with respect to properties such as viscosity, toughness, tensile strength and tensile elongation. Due to their advantageous properties, the compositions are viable for a wide range of applications including coatings, adhesives, sealants, inks and stereolithography. The compositions are liquid at ambient temperature and impart a high glass transition temperature, Tg, without sacrificing other properties, such as elongation. The compositions are useful in 3D printing.

  • Publication number: 20200356870
Abstract: Embodiments of the invention are directed to intelligently and dynamically controlling both changes made within EUC applications and the control rules associated with such changes. A similarity index is calculated/assigned for each data entry field (i.e., cell/intersection) and the controls implemented when a changes to data in the entry fields occurs is based on the similarity index. In other embodiments, a change to data entry fields dynamically prompts analysis of the change based on historical approval and/or denial patterns specific to the EUC application, the data entry field(s) and/or the user of the application. In response to the analysis the control rules may be dynamically updated, and applied to the current change. In other embodiments, inputs, such as reviewer's comments, are the basis for determining a need to update existing controls or add new controls associated with data entry field(s) and the conditions associated therewith are determined and applied.

  • Patent number: 10806358
Abstract: An optrode may provide a cylindrical substrate with two or more electrodes deposited on said cylindrical substrate. The cylindrical substrate and electrodes may be coated by an insulating layer with openings or vias over certain portions of the electrodes that may provide a contact for the neural probe or may be utilized to connect lead lines. Manufacturing of an optrode may utilize a jig that secures a cylindrical substrate coated by a conductive material and a resist. A first mask may be positioned in an opening provided by the jig, and the cylindrical substrate may expose ions or neutral particles to define one or more electrode patterns. After regions of the resist and conductive material are removed to form the electrodes, a second mask may be utilized to define via regions in which portions of the electrodes are exposed and uncoated by an insulating layer.

  • Publication number: 20200224504
Abstract: A downhole release mechanism for a drillstring. A first, uphole section and a second, downhole section comprise longitudinal bores and are rotationally locked together via a spline. A collet assembly is connected to the first section, with collet fingers extending into the bore of the second section when the first and second sections are joined. The collet fingers are biased outwardly, and an external shoulder on the collet fingers mates with an internal shoulder in the second section, locking the sections together. A piston is slidably disposed in a bore of the collet, and spring biased uphole. Fluid flow moves the piston to a downhole position, in which the collet fingers are held outwardly and the shoulders locked together. With fluid flow stopped, the piston moves uphole, and sufficient tension on the mechanism shears shear screws and snaps the collet fingers out the internal shoulder, releasing the mechanism.

  • Patent number: 10492711
Abstract: A multitude of clinical research studies have validated the superiority of impulse oscillometry (IOS) over spirometry because it is far more sensitive in the detection of pulmonary diseases and since it is effort-independent, it can be successfully used in children as young as six-months old. By miniaturizing the IOS to be a hand-held and portable device, the present invention takes IOS technology out of the exclusive environments of the research lab and specialty Pulmonology office. Also by advancing the technology, the manufacturing cost is greatly reduced thereby making the device affordable and available to the average primary care physician for use in their office. In addition, as the present invention becomes available as a home-use device, it will significantly improve the home management of complex respiratory diseases, i.e., Asthma and COPD. The present invention, being a miniaturized and electromagnetically piston-driven IOS, is truly unique in its concept and technology.

  • Patent number: 10457957
Abstract: Compositions and methods for controlling pests are provided. The methods involve transforming organisms with a nucleic acid sequence encoding an insecticidal protein. In particular, the nucleic acid sequences are useful for preparing plants and microorganisms that possess insecticidal activity. Thus, transformed bacteria, plants, plant cells, plant tissues and seeds are provided. Compositions are isolated insecticidal proteins and nucleic acids. The sequences find use in the construction of expression vectors for subsequent transformation into organisms of interest, as probes for the isolation of other homologous (or partially homologous) genes. The insecticidal proteins find use in controlling or killing lepidopteran, coleopteran, dipteran, fungal, hemipteran, and nematode pest populations and for producing compositions with insecticidal activity.
