Abstract: A water pipe smoking assembly for smoking herbal substances includes a set of walls in the housing that define a chamber and a plurality of compartments. First and second ports in a top of the housing open into the chamber. A bowl in the chamber has an open end that is flush with the first port. A first tube extends from the bowl to proximate to a lower limit of the chamber. A second tube is selectively engageable to the housing and extends from the second port. An herbal substance for smoking is positionable in the bowl. A user draws on the second tube so that smoke generated in the bowl is drawn through the first tube, through water partially filling the chamber, which filters the smoke, and then through the second tube and into the mouth and lungs of the user.
