  • Patent number: 11857399
Abstract: Disclosed is a method for transferring cut-out nonwoven material members, the method including feeding a continuous web of a nonwoven material towards cutter and anvil roll, passing the continuous web between the cutter and anvil roll, the cutter roll having knives protruding from the circumferential surface, the knives having an edge with a first outline shape seen in a circumferential direction of the cutter roll, cutting the continuous web thereby forming cut-out nonwoven material members having a second outline shape corresponding to the first outline shape of the respective edge of the knives, and transferring the cut-out members to a vacuum roll having an outer circumferential surface that includes a plurality of vacuum ports arranged in a pattern, the pattern including pattern units each having a third outline shape, the pattern units fitting within the second outline shape of the cut-out members.

  • Patent number: 11123238
Abstract: The present invention relates to a disposable hygiene article having a core with a first area which has its narrowest width (M) in the transverse direction (x) in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. Further, the absorbent core in the crotch portion has at least one front compression line forming an essentially upside down turned V comprising a first leg, a second leg and a common front tip with a V-shaped second compression line in the front portion having a third leg and a fourth leg. Each of the legs extends and diverges at a mutual angle (?4) of from 30-120° in the respective mirror-imaged portions (I) and (II). The common front tip is located in contact with or at a distance from an imaginary transverse line indicating the narrowest width M.

  • Patent number: 11123239
Abstract: A disposable hygiene article having an absorbent core with a first area having its narrowest width in the transverse direction in a front portion or at a location of a transition between the front portion and a crotch portion of the article. The absorbent core has a high-density region and a low density region. The absorbent core has a compression line forming an essentially upside down turned V such that the front tip of the V is located on the centre line and the legs of the V diverge towards the core rear edge at a mutual angle (?1) of from 30-120°. The low density region has an average density which is at least 20%, preferably at least 30% and most preferably at least 50% lower than the average density of the high density region. Also disclosed is a method of making the article.
