Abstract: Aircrafts with kits and methods for servicing aircraft are provided. A method includes covering a display panel in the aircraft with a display shield, wherein the display shield comprises a transparent region configured to allow viewing of the display panel while covered; covering a control panel in the aircraft with a control shield including a transparent region configured to allow viewing of the control panel while covered; employing a tool to service a component of the aircraft while shielding the display panel from the tool with the display shield and shielding the control panel from the tool with the control shield; and reading information displayed on the display panel through the display shield and/or on the control panel through the control shield while servicing the component.

Abstract: A method can include positioning a first axle jack under a vehicle between a first set of wheels at a front region with a laser device positioned on the first axle jack. The method can include positioning a second axle jack underneath the vehicle between a second set of wheels. The method can also include configuring a third axle jack underneath the vehicle between a third set of wheels. The method can also include transmitting a laser beam from the laser device to reflection points on the second axle jack and the third axle jack to measure a distance from the first axle jack to each of the reflection points. The method may also include measuring a distance from each of the reflection points to the first axle jack.

Abstract: Removable covers and methods for covering emergency exit hatches are provided. An exemplary method includes removing the emergency exit enclosure from a hatch in a wall; pushing a removable cover from an interior of the wall into the hatch; and securing the removable cover in the hatch from the interior of the wall.

Abstract: A method of removing a threaded insert from a wall structure is disclosed, where the insert has a flange and an internally threaded barrel. The disclosed method involves: introducing a bracket onto an outer edge of the wall structure, the bracket having a supporting arm with a hole, and the bracket having a plunger positioning arm with a threaded hole. The bracket is positioned such that the supporting arm is located on a first side of the wall structure, the plunger positioning arm is located on a second side of the wall structure, and the flange resides in the hole. A threaded plunger component is actuated to move a distal end section of the plunger component toward an exposed end of the threaded insert. Continued actuation of the plunger component increases force imparted on the exposed end of the threaded insert, until the insert is released from the wall structure.

Abstract: A tool for adjusting an orientation of a nose landing gear of an aircraft is disclosed herein. The nose landing gear has an axle to which a wheel is mounted. The axle has an opening extending therethrough. The opening is defined by an inner surface of the axle. The tool includes, but is not limited to, a unitary member having a handle portion at a first end of the unitary member and an axle-engaging portion at a second end of the unitary member. The handle portion is configured for engagement with a hand of an operator. The axle-engaging portion is configured to be inserted into the opening and to engage with the inner surface.
