  • Publication number: 20160246777
Abstract: A system and method for guiding communication by users engaging in dialogue are provided. At least part of a dialogue is received from a user. The received part of the dialogue is analyzed to produce content analysis data. At least one discourse rule is selected from a plurality of discourse rules. The selected at least one discourse rules is applied to the content analysis data, and at least one suggestion to a user engaging in the dialogue is generated. Utilizing the at least one suggestion by the user promotes, in an automated fashion, the use of validated dialogical strategies in the dialogue.

  • Publication number: 20150339363
Abstract: A method, system and device for enabling a user to achieve modification or transformation of his emotional states are disclosed. The method utilizes a mapping of one or more of behavioural, sensory-visceral, attentional-perceptual, cognitive, and meta-cognitive states associated with an emotional state and on the user's understanding of the neurophysiological states and mechanisms underlying his emotional states to produce a blueprint that enables the user to use his understanding of his brain and other physiological states associated with an emotional state to effect the desired changes in his emotional state.

  • Publication number: 20050146463
Abstract: A method and apparatus is provided that allows M transceivers to transmit/receive using M2N distinct beams using passive beam steering. This provides for the use of arbitrary narrow beams with a number of transceivers that is a fraction of the number of beams but ensures 360° coverage. In other words it permits significant improvements in the link budget with a minimal rise in the cost of the BS. The apparatus includes M distribution switches applied to 2N passive beam forming networks each coupled to M antennas. The method and apparatus are compatible with TDM in the downlink and TDMA in the uplink.

  • Publication number: 20050116876
Abstract: An antenna distribution system provides an effective way to deploy wireless access coverage in an evolving subscriber coverage area. The antenna distribution system includes multiple levels of inputs that are selectively connected to an antenna array to alter the radiation pattern of the antenna array as desired for a given subscriber distribution and topography scenario. An eight-antenna array has four levels of input. The first level has eight inputs each selectively coupled to the corresponding one of the eight antenna. The second level has four inputs, each selectively coupled to two adjacent antennas. The third level has two inputs, each selectively coupled to four adjacent antennas. The fourth level has one input selectively coupled to all eight antenna. Phase shifters coupled to each antenna apply appropriate phase compensation for the antennas to effect the desired radiation pattern when coupled using the second, third or fourth level inputs.

  • Publication number: 20030076189
Abstract: A stipline coupling includes a balun-configured stripline, and a transformer-configured stripline coupled to the balun-configured stripline. The balun-configured stripline includes a pair of conductors, one of which includes a pair of coplanar conductive paths. One of the conductive paths is grounded to provide equal magnitude opposite phase signals to the transformer-configured stripline. The transformer-configured stripline impedance matches the opposite phase signals to the balanced transmission line. The transformer-configured stripline includes two conductive trace sections, one of which includes a pair of substantially abutting non-contacting conductive trace portions. The conductive trace portions of the one trace section includes fingers extending from the respective trace portion. The fingers of one of the fingered traces are interlaced with the fingers of the other fingered traces.
