  • Patent number: 6874828
Abstract: A bayonet locking system for vending machines is provided to lock and unlock the machine preferably with a remotely controlled electronic operating unit. It includes at least one motor driven axially and rotationally movable bayonet with an enlarged shaped head being mounted preferably on a gasketed door and at least one receptacle receiving device disposed within the machine interior positioned for engagement by the bayonet when the door is moved to an intermediate position. The bayonet advances into the receptacle and rotates to capture it in the receptacle and then axially retracts to pull the door into the closed position wherein a gasket disposed between the door and the machine is substantially uniformly compressed and sealed around its periphery. An axially rotatable pin with fins may be used with a bracket on either the door or machine to prevent prying of the door at opposite corners.

  • Patent number: 6845640
Abstract: A quick-release lockable long gun case encloses the breech, trigger guard and trigger of a long gun allowing the barrel and stock to protrude through oppositely disposed openings. A keypad may be preprogrammed with a combination that must be entered to allow access to the long gun. A key operated override mechanism is also provided. An internal chamber contains a removable insert having the outer configuration conforming to the breech, trigger guard and trigger of the long gun. The lid is hinged to the body with a spring biasing the lid in the direction of opening. The latch mechanism includes a strike attached to the lid of the long gun case and a latch mounted within the body of the long gun case. The latch is pivotable and has upper and lower structures that are balanced about the pivot point thereof.

  • Publication number: 20030137152
Abstract: A bayonet locking system for vending machines or the like is provided for locking and unlocking the machine preferably with a remotely controlled electronic operating device. The lock system includes at least one axially and rotationally movable bayonet that can be mounted selectively on the door of the machine and at least one receptacle receiving device disposed within the interior of the machine and positioned for engagement by the bayonet when the door is moved between an open position, an intermediate position, and a closed position. When the door is manually moved from the open position to the intermediate position, the bayonet advances into the receptacle and rotates to capture it in the receptacle. Then the bayonet axially retracts to pull the door into the closed position wherein a gasket disposed between the door and the vending machine is substantially uniformly compressed and sealed around its periphery.

  • Patent number: 6575504
Abstract: An electro-mechanical locking system for vending machine doors and the like having a function that facilitates securing a movable gasketed door and effectively seals the movable door wherein a lock assembly comprises a motor driven device that is attached to one of the movable door assembly or cabinet body and has a rotatable and translatable shaft with a bayonet end having an arrow shape end that engages a slotted stationary device that is generally located in the cabinet body. Driving members cause the translational and rotational movement of the bayonet end and are configured to move in a curvilinear or sinusoidal path so there is a smooth transition and some rotation along with translational movement.
