Abstract: A method for assessing conformance to principles in the production of products within an organization having at least two hierarchical levels is provided. The method includes defining a plurality of organizational principles that apply to the organization as a whole. The method also includes sending a request to a plurality of members within a lower of the at least two hierarchical levels to provide a plurality of responses to a plurality of predefined question statements. Each of the question statements corresponds to a particular one of the organizational principles and is associated with at least one predetermined numerical value. The method also includes calculating a first score for each of the organizational principles using the responses to a set of the question statements corresponding to the each of the organizational principles and using the at least one predetermined numerical value associated with the set of the question statements.

Abstract: A method of improvement in the production of products within an organization is provided. The method includes identifying at least one waste within the organization. The method also includes defining at least one organizational principle. The method also includes defining at least one practice to enable the at least one organizational principle. The at least one practice is associated with at least one metric for performance measurement. The method also includes monitoring the at least one practice using the at least one metric. The method also includes implementing at least one change to the organization's operation for reduction of the at least one waste based on the monitoring.
