  • Publication number: 20140122019
Abstract: A method of calculating a transmission delay value for data transmitted from a first device to a second device across a communications link. The method involves calculating a plurality of measured values representing the transmission delay measured by the second device over time; detecting a minimum boundary of the measured values; and deriving the transmission delay value from the minimum boundary. The transmission delay value may be used to synchronize the clock signal of the second device to the clock signal of the first device.

  • Publication number: 20140085027
Abstract: The present application relates to circuitry having a plurality of inductors, each inductor having a first end and a second end; and a switching arrangement connected to the first end and to the second end of each of the plurality of inductors for routing a current via the inductors; wherein the switching arrangement is arranged to at least one of selectably prevent current from flowing through a subset of the plurality of inductors and select a current flow direction through one of the inductors relative to a current flow direction through at least one other of the inductors so as to vary an effective inductance that the plurality of inductors represents to the current.

  • Publication number: 20130223635
Abstract: Devices and methods of detecting a predetermined audio signal in audio signals are provided. A device includes a processor coupled to a clock signal generator, a power controller and an audio detector. The power controller controls a clock rate provided to the processor by the clock signal generator, to control the device to operate in a low power mode having a relatively low power consumption or in a normal power mode having a relatively high power consumption. The audio detector receives audio signals and detects, in the low power mode, probable presence of a predetermined audio signal in the audio signals. The power controller controls the device to switch from the low power mode to the normal power mode responsive to the detected presence of the predetermined audio signal by the audio detector.

  • Publication number: 20130135050
Abstract: A differential electronic amplifier including: a first switch connected between a first reference voltage and a first node; a second switch connected between a second reference voltage and a second node; a resonant differential load connected between the first and second nodes and having a centre point connected to a third reference voltage; an output stage constituted by a first side of a transformer; a load impedance connected to a second side of the transformer; a first capacitive element connected between the first side of the transformer and the first node; and a second capacitive element connected between the first side of the transformer and the second node; wherein all inductive elements connected in series between the first and second capacitive elements are inductively coupled to the second side of the transformer.
