  • Patent number: 10756482
Abstract: A coupling can include a barrel that includes a communication pathway, such as an electrical contact or optical pathway. The coupling can include a nut that is configured to engage with a corresponding portion of a mating connector, such as via a threaded connection. When the coupling and the mating connector are engaged, the nut secures the coupling and the mating connector together, and respective termination elements of the coupling and the mating connector are in communication with each other. The coupling can include a torque-limiting mechanism. The torque-limiting mechanism can be configured to enable the transmission of torque up to a limit amount, and to inhibit or prevent the transmission of torque above the limit amount.

  • Patent number: 10304349
Abstract: A technology for providing a test environment is provided. In one example, a method may include defining a macro task for an unstructured lab in a service provider environment, the macro task including a task definition and expected values for a plurality of sub-tasks within the macro task. A request to participate in the unstructured lab may be received from a client device and the macro task may be provided to the client device in response to the request. Metrics may be collected from the unstructured lab using a metrics collector. Completion of the macro task may be analyzed by comparing the metrics to the expected values and a report indicative of performance of the macro task may be provided.

  • Patent number: 9496649
Abstract: An electrical-connection system for connecting a first cable to a second cable includes a central connector unit that attaches to cable-end connectors. Among other features, the central connector unit might include a curved surface, each of the cable-end connectors might include a grip mechanism. Generally, the electrical-connection system is configured to be positioned in a radial groove of a cylindrical body, such that an overall height of the system is maintained within space constraints.

  • Patent number: 8195701
Abstract: A system for interaction with datasets includes a computer having a processor, a memory, and modules with code that executes in the processor. An editor module creates a dataset container file (DCF) in which a location and a structure of one or more datasets is defined and used to select positions for commentary within a presentation of the DCF contents. An import module is operative to import a first dataset from the defined location. An interface module is operative to obtain author-commentary and associate the author-commentary with the first dataset in response to interaction with a user. A synchronization module is operative to coordinate on a display a presentation of a portion of at least one of the datasets defined in the DCF in accordance with a selected position on a timeline. The presentation includes the author-commentary within the timeline. The datasets and the author-commentary are included in the DCF.

  • Patent number: 4966592
Abstract: A hypodermic syringe barrel is provided with an external rotatable and slidable protective sleeve extendable and retractable relative to a needle mounted from the barrel and the sleeve is lightly biased toward the extended position thereof with the needle fully enclosed within the sleeve. The sleeve and barrel are operatively interconnected through utilization of a pin and slot connection defining limits of extension and retraction of the sleeve and the pin and slot connection includes structure whereby angular displacement of the sleeve relative to the barrel may be effected at each limit position of the sleeve for retaining the sleeve in that limit position.

  • Patent number: 4142451
Abstract: A housing is provided defining a central cavity and a rotor is journaled within the cavity and includes at least one piston bore formed therein extending generally radially of the axis of rotation of the rotor. The bore opens outwardly of the periphery of the rotor and a piston is reciprocal in the bore. The cavity defines at least one pair of approach and departure ramp surfaces extending thereabout in registry with which the outer end of the bore swings upon rotation of the rotor and the piston includes anti-friction thrust means on the end thereof remote from the axis of rotation of the rotor engageable with the ramp surfaces. Inlet and outlet means are provided and operative to admit fluid under pressure into the inner end of the bore and to exhaust fluid from the inner end of the bore in timed relation with rotation of the rotor as the thrust means swings into position engaged with the beginning of the departure and approach ramp surfaces, respectively.
