Abstract: An embodiment of a plug intervention system for retrieving or installing a plug for a subsea wellhead assembly. The plug intervention system includes a cap including an upper end, a lower end, and a cavity extending into the cap from the lower end. The cap is configured to engage with a connection hub of the subsea wellhead assembly such that the connection hub is at least partially received into the cavity. In addition, the plug intervention system includes a guidance assembly connected to the upper end of the cap. The guidance assembly is configured to guide a plug intervention tool into a bore of the subsea wellhead assembly via the connection hub for removal or installation of the plug.

Abstract: An intervention system is provided. The intervention system includes an intervention package. The intervention package is used to couple to a subsea tree and to perform hydraulic or mechanical operations on subsea wells or flowlines. The intervention package includes a first interface that is configured to couple to the subsea tree. The intervention package further includes a fluid flow path through the intervention package to the first interface. The intervention package further includes an electric actuator coupled to a valve along the fluid flow path. The intervention package further includes a controller coupled to the electric actuator. The controller is used to control the electric actuator to control the valve.

Abstract: An intervention system is provided for a subsea well operation. The intervention system includes a first coupling portion, a second coupling portion releasably coupled to the first coupling portion, a monitor tether coupled to one of the first coupling portion and the second coupling portion, and a control system. The first coupling portion and the second coupling portion provide fluid communication while the first coupling portion and the second coupling portion are connected to one another. The monitor tether transmits an electrical current while the first coupling portion and the second coupling portion are connected to one another. The control system is operable to detect a change in current in the monitor tether indicative of disconnection between the first coupling portion and the second coupling portion, and, in response to detecting a change in current in the monitor tether indicative of disconnection, interrupt fluid flow relative to the subsea well.
