  • Publication number: 20260138216
Abstract: A system for monitoring and optimizing a repair operation being performed on a component includes at least one light sensor disposed proximal to the component to collect heat signature data emitted from the component. The at least one light sensor is disposed in an oblique orientation relative to the component. The system further includes a controller communicably coupled with the at least one light sensor. The controller is configured to receive the heat signature data from the at least one light sensor, compare the heat signature data with a nominal range for the heat signature, and generate an output signal if the heat signature data is outside of the nominal range for the heat signature.

  • Publication number: 20240145204
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and apparatus related to electron emission. A method includes providing a nanotip field emitter. The nanotip field emitter includes a nanoprotrusion at a tip of the nanotip field emitter. The nanotip field emitter is cooled to a temperature. The temperature is about 80 Kelvin or lower. An electric field is applied between an extraction electrode and the nanotip field emitter to induce emission of electrons from the nanotip field emitter.

  • Patent number: 11251832
Abstract: Nyquist folding receivers (NYFRs) are disclosed that use three or more non-modulated sampling clock signals with different frequencies to produce multiple projections in a sampled output. Using these three or more different sampling clock signals, multiple Nyquist zones are aliased together while still allowing signals from different Nyquist zones to be separated and identified in later processing based upon the sampling provided by the different sampling clock signals. NYFR sampling receivers are also disclosed that simultaneously produce multiple separate and different parallel channels from an input signal, with each different channel having a different sampling clock sampling rate from the other channels so as to generate a respective folding pattern that is different from the folding pattern generated by the respective RF sampling rate of each of the other simultaneous and parallel channels.

  • Publication number: 20150067724
Abstract: Techniques are provided with which a subscriber to a media viewing service, which is configured for viewing media items such as TV shows or movies using streaming video delivery or other viewing techniques, may recommend one or more played or viewed media items to one or more friends in media viewing services or social networking systems that the subscriber uses. The subscriber may receive notifications when the friends view or play the recommended media items, and may contribute implicit feedback to a separate recommendation system regarding a recommended media item even when the subscriber has not explicitly rated the recommended media item. Subscribers also receive rapid indications, at the time that the subscribers are preparing to make recommendations of media items, about whether friends have already played or viewed the media items. In one embodiment, a recommendation may be communicated to a selected friend using a single operation of a pointing device.

  • Patent number: 5885086
Abstract: An interactive video delivery system (IVDS) is used in conjunction with sware for training purposes. The IVDS emulates a tactical display system sonar console by using software to provide its input information. The tactical display system sonar console uses actual sonar signals detected by sonar array systems. The IVDS training aid comprises an emulated AN/UYQ-21 console having a computer and an interactive videodisc system. The computer provides the necessary graphics processing for emulation of the tactical displays.
