  • Publication number: 20170161741
Abstract: A method of processing signals in a payment transaction. At a processor, telephonic signals conveying sensitive and non-sensitive information are received. The processor detects sensitive information conveyed by the received telephonic signals and sends the sensitive information to a token service provider. The token service provider is communicatively coupled to a payment transaction entity and configured to generate surrogate information for the sensitive information. The processor receives surrogate information from the token service provider, the surrogate information having been generated by the token service provider. The processor then outputs the received surrogate information to a transaction handling center such that the sensitive information is not provided to the transaction handling center. At the transaction handling center, the surrogate information is included in a transaction request message and the transaction request message is sent to the payment transaction entity.

  • Patent number: 9178974
Abstract: There is described method and apparatus for processing signals of a telephonic communication, where the signals represent sensitive and non-sensitive information. A described method comprises processing the signals to provide a first version of the signals that is to be recorded and a second version of the signals that is to be output as audio; monitoring at least the first version of the signals to detect, in said at least the first version of the signals, one or more instances of one or more predetermined characteristics that represent the sensitive information conveyed by the signals; and modifying said at least the first version of the signals by removing the identified predetermined characteristics from said at least the first version of the signals.

  • Publication number: 20140365372
Abstract: A method of mediating communications between a first computing device and a second computing device, by an intermediary computing device, comprising establishing a communications link to each of the first and second computing devices, receiving a first message from the first computing device, the content of the first message comprising information in a protected format, converting at least part of the information in the protected format to an unprotected format, and transmitting a second message to the second computing device, the content of the second message comprising at least part of the information in the unprotected format.

  • Publication number: 20050201547
Abstract: A method enables call management on a queue. An incoming call is placed on a queue and may be suspended at a predetermined position for a predetermined period such that the call does not advance on the queue during the predetermined period. The predetermined position may be any desired position on the queue and the predetermined period may be a wait time or a number of calls on the queue, for example. The caller may further receive an estimated wait time or queue length and may request a maximum desired wait time, a change in wait time, or a change in communication method.
