  • Publication number: 20230032170
Abstract: The invention relates to a glass-fiber textile structure, characterized in that it has a parylene (poly(para-xylylene)) coating with a thickness of between 5 ?m and 30 ?m, preferably between 6 ?m and 25 ?m, in particular between 7 and 20 ?m. The invention also relates to a method for reinforcing a solid material, which comprises introducing such a textile structure having a parylene coating into a fluid base material, preferably a base material comprising water and a hydraulic binder, and curing the base material.

  • Patent number: 11384014
Abstract: A glass mat is provided. The glass mat includes an assembly of glass fibers; and a binder composition including a polymer resin and a crosslinker. The polymer resin has a pH of at least about 5.0. The polymer resin includes a styrenic copolymer, an acrylic copolymer, or combination thereof having at least one functional group of a carboxylic acid, a salt of a carboxylic acid, an anhydride, a salt of an anhydride, or combination thereof. The crosslinker includes a polyol, a polyepoxy, a polycarbodiimide, a polyaziridine, a bivalent metal carbonate, or combination thereof. Further provided is a method of making the glass mat.

  • Publication number: 20160178491
Abstract: Embodiments of the disclosure include systems and methods for capturing particular biological matter from a sample from an individual. The systems and methods employ an apparatus (such as a container that is a tube or bag) comprising a fluoropolymer coating that is modified to comprise one or more moieties for binding of a desired biological agents when a sample is exposed to the modified fluoropolymer. In particular aspects, the biological matter is a particular type of cell, such as a particular blood or bone marrow cell, and the desired cell is captured by means of an aptamer selected to bind the cell.

    Publication date: June 23, 2016
Inventors: Edouard Civel, Sarah Louise Clark, Herbert Myers Cullis, Natasha Anna Lundgren, Jeffrey Ellis Miripol, Camila A. Garces
