Abstract: An improved diffuser connectable to a duct of a ventilation system has a diffuser body, a collar extending outwardly away from the diffuser body, and a conduit slideably mounted in the collar. The conduit is slideably extendable from a retracted configuration, wherein substantially all of the conduit is enclosed in the diffuser body and the collar, into at least one extended position wherein at least a portion of the conduit is extended out of the retracted configuration away from the diffuser body and out of the collar for connection to the duct. Thus, the diffuser may be compactly stored for transport in the retracted position and then extended for attachment to the duct in the extended configuration. A retaining member on the conduit prevents the conduit from being involuntarily retracted back into the retracted configuration. A conduit for attachment to a diffuser is also provided.

Abstract: An air humidifier apparatus with a time switch system combined to a circulation mechanism allowing for a controlled cyclical flow of water into a drain of the basin containing water in which soaks a spongy and absorbent material located on the circumference of a rotary drum, thus preventing any accumulation of limestone and other minerals in the water of the basin. The circulation mechanism that includes valves allows for a controlled flow of water while preventing any continuous flow of water through the drain in the case the humidifier stops in a position with an opened drain. Furthermore, the water can flow by that same drain if there is an overflow of water in the basin.

Abstract: The air diffuser of this assembly has a top collar with a free edge and the damper is of conventional construction, having a central core and a set of radially outwardly extending strut arms. In the central core is mounted a vertical actuating screw for adjusting the air deflector blades of the damper. The outer ends of the strut arms are formed with a stop member resting over the top edge of the diffuser collar and with a system to deform the collar walls so as to lock the strut arms to the collar against axial movement and against rotation. The stops serve to locate the damper in its proper operative position so as to direct the air uniformly over the air diffuser baffles.
