  • Publication number: 20220062626
Abstract: A stimulating device includes a stimulator for generating electrical signals and an electrode array for transmitting the electrical signals to a target. The electrode array includes a substrate defining an aperture and at least one electrode supported by the substrate. The stimulating device further includes a connector extending from the stimulator and disposed at least partially in the aperture of the substrate to define a space between the connector and the substrate. The connector is configured to establish an electrical connection between the stimulator and the electrode array. A conductive elastic ink is disposed at least partially within the space defined between the connector and the substrate to secure the connector to the substrate.

  • Publication number: 20220032044
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an electrode array includes forming a first insulating layer from a first nonconductive material; depositing, by pressure-driven extrusion printing, a first conductive material over a portion of the first insulating layer to form a first conductive layer; depositing a second nonconductive material over a portion of the first conductive layer and over an exposed portion of the first insulating layer to form a second insulating layer defining a gap exposing a portion of the first conductive layer; and depositing, by pressure-driven extrusion printing, a second conductive material into the gap and over the exposed portion of the first conductive layer to form a second conductive layer electrically connected to the first conductive layer to form at least one electrode of the electrode array.

  • Patent number: 11191374
Abstract: An aromatherapy blanket assembly includes a blanket that is positionable on a user for warming the user. A panel is foldable onto itself to form a pouch and the panel is removably attachable to the blanket. A plurality of beads is positioned in the pouch formed by the panel and each of the beads is infused with a chemical scent to release the scent into the pouch. A plurality of infusion lines is integrated into the blanket. An infusion unit is removably attachable to the blanket such that the infusion unit is in fluid communication with the plurality of infusion lines. The infusion unit contains a liquid scent thereby facilitating each of the infusion lines to release the scent associated with the liquid scent from the blanket for the purposes of aromatherapy.

  • Publication number: 20140114231
Abstract: This patent discloses formulations, compositions, and process method and device, of hydrophobic extracts and biomass of Skin Tree, also called Mimosa tenuiflora, also called Mimosa cabrera, also called Mimosa hostilis, also called Jurema, also called Tepezcohuite, and apparatus used for cell repair, and the regeneration and rejuvenation of glabrous skin and hair bearing skin. The formulations and compositions herein disclosed, alone and when used with apparatus described, i.e. in combination, will serve to modulate cell repair and block inflammatory processes, infection and disease, reversing skin aging, thereby restoring normal cell and skin conditions, coloration, homeostasis, youth, vitality, and firmness.

  • Publication number: 20080003304
Abstract: This invention relates to combination chemotherapy, particularly involving vitamin D or a derivative thereof hi one aspect, the invention provides a method of killing a cell by first administering to the cell vitamin D (or a derivative) and subsequently administering to the cell a cytotoxic agent. Where this strategy is applied to an intact tumor, the present invention provides a method of retarding the growth of the tumor by first administering vitamin D (or a derivative) to the tumor and subsequently administering the cytotoxic agent. A further aspect of the invention concerns a method of treating prostate cancer within a patient by co-administration of vitamin D (or a derivative) and a glucocorticoid to the patient. In yet a further aspect, the invention provides an improved method of treating a patient with vitamin-D involving the adjunctive administration of zoledronate.

  • Publication number: 20070207488
Abstract: A method is provided for identifying an individual as having altered vitamin D metabolism comprising analyzing a biological sample from the individual for the presence of CYP24 SNPs and/or aberrantly spliced CYP24 mRNA. The presence of the SNPs and/or the aberrantly spliced CYP24 mRNA indicates that the individual has altered vitamin D metabolism. Also provided are methods for customizing dosages of biologically active vitamin D compounds for individuals who are determined to have altered vitamin D metabolism.
