  • Patent number: 8552854
Abstract: A method for reprogramming bidirectional objects is disclosed. The objects contain a common key, at least two objects being paired to allow the sending of a command from one object of the pair to the other object of the pair and the execution of the command by the other object. The method includes the steps of 1) providing the objects with a new common key; 2) then when a command is sent from one object to another object with which it is paired, verifying that the two objects contain the new common key, and 3) refusal by the other object to execute the command if the two objects do not contain the new common key.

  • Patent number: 7724687
Abstract: Secure transfer of information between a first command transmitter and a second command transmitter such as those employed for remote control of actuators employed in home automation systems for example for opening and closing windows, solar protection, ventilation, roller blinds, garage doors and the like, is achieved by first authenticating the first command transmitter with respect to a third object preferably constituting part of the existing network, such as a command receiver or command transmitter and only transferring information to the second command transmitter when authentication of the first command transmitter has succeeded. The method particularly applies when a new second command transmitter is to be installed on a home automation network, having identical rights and functionalities to those of the existing first command transmitter.

  • Patent number: 7683754
Abstract: A method for defining a group from among a plurality of bidirectional objects, comprising the following stages: a) synchronous application to the objects in a group of an initiator event, b) sending of a message containing a group identifier, and c) recording by the objects that have been subjected to the initiator event of the group identifier.

  • Patent number: 7639115
Abstract: A method for pairing a bidirectional object acting as a command receiver with a bidirectional object acting as a command transmitter, includes the stages of: (a) temporary allocation of at least one bidirectional object acting as a command receiver to a bidirectional object acting as a command transmitter; (b) selection of a bidirectional object acting as a command receiver from among the temporarily assigned objects; and (c) pairing of the selected object.

  • Patent number: 7418313
Abstract: The method describes the operation of a roller blind including a moving element that can be operated via an actuator and a handheld-type remote control used to set the value of an operating parameter of the system, the value of this parameter being modifiable between two limit values. In this method, after a modification of the setting of the parameter value, an acknowledgement signal is sent, the acknowledgement signals differing according to whether the parameter value is or is not a limit value.

  • Patent number: 7102502
Abstract: A method of constituting a home automation network comprises bidirectional elements such as actuators (A1, A2, A3), at least unidirectional control elements (C1, C2, C3, S1) and bidirectional control elements (C60, C70, C800). It consists in lastingly functionally linking up at least two elements. The process is characterized in that the lasting functional linkup brings about at least one transfer from a bidirectional element to another bidirectional element of at least one information creating a hierarchical relationship between these two elements.
