  • Publication number: 20070155464
Abstract: A processor controlled gaming device that randomly generates and displays a pachinko-type game and outcome on a screen connected to the processor. The gaming device initially provides a preliminary game that yields the number of attempts or objects that the player has in the pachinko-type game. Next, the game displays the pachinko-type game screen having a player selectable starting area. The starting area is large enough so that when the player picks a certain position of the area, the object falls from the selected position, hits a plurality of pegs and lands in an award position. The selected start position affects which award position that object eventually falls in accordance with the probability distribution predicted by the laws of physics. The player's award, however, is not affected by which start position the player selects.

  • Publication number: 20070117606
Abstract: A gaming device that has an award modification function for player selectable awards that may be implemented with a primary or bonus game. More specifically, a processor controlled gaming device randomly generates a plurality of positions or digits of an award and enables the player to pick which position or digit receives a first randomly generated number, which digit receives a second randomly generated number, etc., until each of the positions have a number, whereby the gaming device determines the player's ultimate award. A plurality of modification methods can be employed to individually modify the digits of the award.

  • Publication number: 20070015566
Abstract: A gaming device operable having at least one input device. The processor, under control of a processor, is operable to enable a player to participate in a play of a game including a plurality of selectable indicators. Each selectable indicator is associated with an independent probability. The play of the game involves a pick of one of the selectable indicators and a determination of whether the picked selectable indicator is a success indicator or a failure indicator.

  • Publication number: 20060073872
Abstract: A gaming device having selectable awards on a moving mechanical display, such as a symbol display mechanism or an award display mechanism. In one embodiment, the gaming device includes an electromechanical secondary display device that is operable to rotate about an axis. The electromechanical secondary display device includes at least one and preferably a plurality of individual symbol display members. Each individual symbol display member is adapted to display at least one symbol or award. In operation, after determining the symbol, award or outcome displayed by each of the individual symbol display members, the electromechanical secondary display device rotates about an axis to indicate one of the individual symbol display members. The symbol or award displayed on the indicated symbol display member is provided to the player and the game ends.

  • Publication number: 20050027384
Abstract: A gaming device which presents a plurality of indicators to the player. Each indicator may be a success indicator or a failure indicator based on a pre-determined probability. Upon or prior to the selection of the indicator, the processor in the gaming device determines, based on that probability, if the indicator is a success indicator or a failure indicator. When a player selects an indicator, the gaming device displays if the selected indicator is a failure indicator or a success indicator and a value associated with the success indicator. In one embodiment, the player selects indicators until the player selects all of the success indicators or the player selects a failure indicator. Accordingly, based on chance and the pre-determined probability, a game may include all success indicators and no failure indicators to increase player excitement and enjoyment.

  • Publication number: 20050014549
Abstract: A gaming device that randomly generates and displays a set of different amounts on a display device. In one embodiment, the game generates three amounts. The game asks the player to pick one of the amounts for which the player thinks that the game will generate a comparison amount having a higher value. That is, the game asks the player to pick an amount that will be less than the generated comparison amount. Or, the game can ask the player to pick an amount that will be higher than the generated comparison amount. Alternatively, the game can ask the player to pick, for one of the displayed amounts, whether a generated comparison amount will be higher or lower than the displayed amount. In any of these three embodiments, if the player is correct, the game provides an award to the player.
