  • Patent number: 10399218
Abstract: A motorized tool for scrubbing, buffing, and polishing. The tool has a motor within a housing powered by an electrical power supply to move a base member. Surface treatment material is selectively retained by the base member, potentially by a latching system, a sleeved surface treatment system, or hook and loop material. A water-resistant battery pack can be selectively engaged with the housing, such as through a mating engagement between a tubular projection from the battery pack in combination with an annular socket in the housing, in a substantially watertight manner to provide electrical power. A liquid retaining volume can be disposed within the motorized tool, such as partially within a handle and partially contiguous with a motor compartment of the housing, for retaining a volume of liquid. Liquid can be selectively emitted into or through a surface treatment pad through an exhaust tube.

  • Patent number: 9408513
Abstract: A submersible, buoyant, and adaptable motorized tool for scrubbing, buffing, and polishing with a housing with a watertight inner volume, a motor retained within the housing, a rechargeable battery for providing electrical power to the motor, a switch, a base member moved in response to an operation of the motor, and a boat-shaped surface treatment pad releasably retained in relation to the base member. The housing has an upper portion formed as a bulbous knob with an anterior end beyond which an anterior end of the surface treatment pad projects. A heat sink has heat sink arms that have flanges received into apertures in the housing for removing heat from the motor. A liquid-dispensing reservoir removably engages the body portion of the motorized tool.

  • Publication number: 20060000004
Abstract: An upper torso garment, such as a jacket, can be folded within itself to transform it into a pillow shape. In a further embodiment, the garment bears an integral back pack, and can be transformed into either the pillow form or a wearable back pack in which the garment structure is fully contained and concealed. A flap on the inside of the back of the garment includes an integral hinge portion along part of its edge, with a first separable fastener half, e.g. a zipper, mounted to the peripheral edge of the flap; that zipper half is engageable with a second zipper half on the inside back of the garment. With the garment in its “normal” configuration, the flap is “zipped” closed, forming a containing “pocket” enclosing straps for use when the back pack is being worn. For the “pillow transformation” process, The flap is unzipped and then folded over the neck-opening from the inside of the garment to the outside.
