  • Patent number: 7253741
Abstract: An electronic monitoring system is provided to monitor for and sense water leakage at multiple locations and sources within a commercial or residential property. These sources are hot water heaters, hot water boilers, air conditioning system evaporators, washing machines and sinks. The microprocessor based control will determine the location of the leak, sound a local audio and visual alarm to denote an alarm condition and illuminate appropriate LED's on the face of the control to indicate the location and type of water leak within the structure being monitored. The system consists of multiple water sensors, a host control for data collection and system operation, an internal battery for system power, provision for connection to telephone service, with the ability to call a pre-programmed pager or telephone number to deliver synthesized voice or prerecorded voice data to indicate the address of the property, the day, date and time of the alarm and the type of leak detected.

  • Patent number: 7237501
Abstract: An electronic control system is provided to permit one-person loading and unloading of a vessel from a trailer. The control moves the vessel using bow, stern and fore/aft thrusters that are supplied by the boat manufacturer. Operator inputs to the system controller of the instant invention consist of one or more multi-axis joysticks and a multi-axis foot pedal that are mounted onboard the vessel and a hand-held remote control that permits owner control of the vessel while standing on shore. For one-person unloading and loading of the vessel from and to a trailer, the owner may, using the remote control, drive the vessel off of the trailer to a remote location in the water, park and have the vessel maintain its position with respect to GPS satellites, and call for the vessel to return to the launch point using location data that was previously recorded by the system control.

  • Publication number: 20070056298
Abstract: An electronic monitoring system is provided to monitor for and sense faults in a residential or commercial air conditioning system that uses a chemical refrigerant. By monitoring the discharge pressure variable, a determination may be made concerning the condition of the air conditioning system and alert the home owner or resident when the air conditioning system requires professional service. The early warning of system air conditioning system faults will give the property owner the opportunity to service the system before more long term damage is done to the system. The microprocessor based control will monitor the discharge line pressure and transmit a signal to a system monitor panel that is co-located with the heating/air conditioning thermostat installed within the dwelling or structure. A display on the face of the monitor panel will alert the home owner or resident, in an incremental manner, when the air conditioning system is in urgent need of professional service.

  • Patent number: 6768936
Abstract: An electronic control system is provided to measure chassis twist from the front of the chassis to the rear of the chassis, determine the extent and direction of twist, resolve the data to eliminate the twist without inducing further stress to the chassis and secondarily, level the chassis with respect to earth after the torsion or twist of the chassis has been eliminated to achieve a planar condition. The system comprises two, two-axis tilt measurement sensors, a host control for data collection and system operation, a remote mounted diagnostics port, a user interface for the owner, operator or driver to initiate system operation and display of vehicle movement during the planarization process, with an external interface to pneumatic, hydraulic or electromechanical systems used to raise and lower each corner of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 6729677
Abstract: A full body slide out room assembly is comprised of a vehicle with stationary end modules, a stationary roof and a plurality of moveable room assemblies that consist of a telescoping roof, floor, anterior walls, and end walls. The sliding movement of each room is controlled by one or more linear drive mechanisms that are pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electro-mechanical, or combination of two or more of these methods. Each moveable room is supported by a center or offset longitudinal truss or trusses below the floor level, and a plurality of guide rails and support rails located between the vehicle chassis and the moveable room. Polymer plates are installed between the support and guide rails.

  • Patent number: 5717135
Abstract: A wireless tire pressure monitoring system is disclosed to warn a driver of a vehicle of low pressure in a vehicle tire. The monitoring system includes a transducer to which wires or other physical connections cannot be easily made. The transducer is attached to a wheel rim and a magnetic field can be selectively produced by elements of the transducer in response to changes in tire pressure. A sensor is mounted for sensing the magnetic field with the sensor producing an output that can be coupled with a monitor in the vehicle cab.

  • Patent number: 5289160
Abstract: A wireless tire pressure monitoring system warns a driver of a vehicle of low pressure in one or more of its tires so that the driver may take corrective action before a tire blowout occurs. A pressure transducer, transmitter and antenna are integrally housed and mounted to the tire stem of a tire. When the pressure transducer senses a tire pressure below a preselected pressure, the transmitter broadcasts a radio frequency (RF) signal that, upon detection by a receiver mounted on the vehicle, warns the driver of abnormally low pressure. In a preferred embodiment, the transmitter is a SAW device that is periodically interrogated by an RF signal from a transmitter on the vehicle.
