  • Patent number: 11407595
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for performing article singulation are provided. An article singulator can include an intake conveyor, an out-take conveyor, and multiple intermediate conveyors. The intake conveyor can receive multiple articles and convey the articles to the multiple intermediate conveyors. Further, the out-take conveyor may convey singulated articles from amongst the multiple articles (e.g. to an outfeed). Further, the multiple intermediate conveyors may include successive conveyors to convey the articles and provide the singulated articles to the out-take conveyor. In some examples, each successive conveyor of the multiple intermediate conveyors may be positioned at a lower level than a preceding conveyor. Further, each successive conveyor can convey the articles in a different direction and at a different speed than a preceding conveyor such that the articles are singulated upon conveyance by the article singulator.

  • Patent number: 10685142
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a security enhanced channel control system useable on a wireless device comprising a policy module including at least one processor and memory, the policy module configured to store, in the memory, one or more security policies and apply a compliance check to a first system layer and a second system layer; and a first policy base stored in the memory of the policy module, the first policy base being associated with a mandatory access control (“MAC”) base and defining one more security polices for access to a plurality of channels associated with the first and second system layers. The policy module cooperates with the first policy base to establish one or more access control rules that are applied to at least one of the plurality of channels to preclude an unauthorized application from accessing at least one of the channels.

  • Publication number: 20060090075
Abstract: A verification method and system including a verifier which can both interpret policies and determine if they are satisfied, and request and obtain relevant certificates. This new architecture includes a verifier which itself can both direct a retrieval mechanism and use a local database of information. Users and applications can obtain and supply certificates to the verifier and the local database. The verifier may invoke a retrieval mechanism to obtain necessary certificates from other authenticated data servers and store them in a secondary database. The flexibility to allow for both on-line and off-line authenticated data server responses for verification is encompassed, as is an enhanced system for security including revocation of certificates using a polarity discipline, which allows data used for revocation to be handled with the same system used for other verification data without imperiling security.

  • Publication number: 20030172298
Abstract: A method and system for manipulating permissions are disclosed. A first permission, including a label related to a service accessible via a service web server, is maintained at a permission web server. A second user is provided access to the first permission upon his authenticating to the permission web server and is provided a permission to access the service. The second user will be given access to the service, upon his requesting access to the service and supplying the permission, if the digital signatures in the permission are positively verified. The second user may, instead of seeking access to the service himself, delegate permission to do so to a subsequent user.

  • Publication number: 20030172299
Abstract: A method and system for manipulating permissions are disclosed. A label relating to a service accessible on a web server is determined by a first user on a web server. The label is returned to the first user and, in some cases, may be included in a permission. The label or permission can be delegated to a second user to enable the second user to obtain access to the service. The permission may be further delegated by the second or subsequent users.

  • Publication number: 20030172297
Abstract: A method and system for providing secure access to a service on a web server are disclosed. A label relating to the service is determined by a first user on the web server. The label is returned to the first user. Upon the first user transmitting the label to a second user via a messaging system, information based on the label and the public key of the second user is automatically stored on the web server. Assuming the second user is properly authenticated with respect to his public key, the second user is provided access to the service upon request.

  • Publication number: 20030172296
Abstract: A method and system for manipulating permissions used to obtain access to services on a web server are disclosed. A permission may be included in a single electronic message that is to be sent to multiple recipients via a messaging system. An electronic message including the permission is sent to each recipient via the messaging system. The electronic message can be automatically processed by the web server upon receipt of the electronic message from a recipient seeking access to the service.

  • Publication number: 20020162002
Abstract: A method and system control access to services. Identity and key information of a delegatee are determined. Permission relating to the services is delegated. The permission is represented using a digital signature. The delegator verifies the identity and key information through physical presence of the delegatee. Alternatively, key information is received from a delegatee over a computer network. A hash of the key information is taken and the hash is verbally confirmed with the delegatee. Permission to access the services is sent by a delegator to the delegatee, wherein the permission is represented using a digital signature. After that, the delegatee is provided access to the services.

  • Publication number: 20020161999
Abstract: A method and system expedite delegation of at least one permission over a personal area network. Pregenerated values representing at least a portion of data required to create a digital signature are created on a computer. The values are transferred to a delegation device. The values are used in creating a digital signature on the delegation device. A delegator delegates to a delegates the permission over the personal area network while physical presence exists between the delegator and the delegatee.
