Patent number: 8598740Abstract: A mobile workstation includes a first battery bracket for releasable attachment of a main battery, a second battery bracket for releasable attachment of a backup battery and a power control circuit. The power control circuit includes a first input for receiving and monitoring power from the main battery, a second input for receiving and monitoring power from the backup battery, and a DC output. The power control circuit selectively routes a first flow of electricity from the main battery to the DC output when the first flow of electricity exceeds a predetermined value, and routes a second flow of electricity from the backup battery to the DC output when the first flow of electricity falls below the predetermined value.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2012Date of Patent: December 3, 2013Assignee: Anton/Bauer, Inc.Inventors: Joseph G. Murtha, Mark Ross, James Markland, Willam Frederick, Carl Hultman, Michael Accardi

Patent number: 7665698Abstract: An articulating support assembly includes a first segment and a second segment. The first and second segments are disposed adjacent to one another. A first mating surface is defined on the first segment and a second mating surface is defined on the second segment. A tensioning assembly is operatively connected to the first and second segments such that the tensioning may be selectively operable to bias the first mating surface and the second mating surface into contact with one another thereby holding the first segment in a predetermined static orientation with respect to the second segment.Type: GrantFiled: April 16, 2008Date of Patent: February 23, 2010Assignee: Anton/Bauer, Inc.Inventors: Alexander P. Desorbo, Carl Hultman, James Markland

Patent number: 7318678Abstract: A support assembly for supporting an optical recording device about an operator includes a shaft having a first distal end for mounting the optical recording device, and a second distal end for bearing against the back of the operator. A friction plate arm is slidably disposed on the shaft and pivotable movement of the friction plate selectively captures the operator between the friction plate and the second distal end, thus causing the friction plate to frictionally lock against said shaft.Type: GrantFiled: May 5, 2005Date of Patent: January 15, 2008Assignee: Anton/Bauer, Inc.Inventors: Alexander P. DeSorbo, Carl A. Hultman, Joseph P. Teodosio

Patent number: 7293924Abstract: A lightweight collapsible, shoulder mounted camera support assembly for carrying a camcorder or camera and holding the same steady during operation has a front and rear portion for mounting a battery to counterbalance the weight of the camera or camcorder mounted on the front portion. The front and rear portions are collapsible or detachable to aid in transporting and carrying the shoulder mounted camera support. The front and rear portions are offset in such a way as to match the centerline of the camera with the centerline of the shoulder and thus aligned with the operator's eye. The front portion has an angular extension on which the camera or camcorder is mounted and is adjustable in at least one axis relative to the horizontal established by the support assembly.Type: GrantFiled: March 29, 2004Date of Patent: November 13, 2007Assignee: Anton/Bauer, Inc.Inventors: Alexander P. DeSorbo, Carl A. Hultman, Joseph P. Teodosio
