Publication number: 20100250111Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing event notification to navigational applications. More specifically, the disclosed systems and methods provide emergency and non-emergency event information to users such that the event information is displayed to the user of a navigation application. For example, the location of an emergency event, such as a car accident or a fire is displayed on a personal navigation device. Furthermore, the real-time location of emergency vehicles responding to the event can be displayed on the navigation application. This provides additional information to drivers to help avoid traffic situations and clear the route for emergency vehicles. The disclosed systems and methods may also be employed to provide non-emergency information to users, such as parade or marathon information and routes, snow routes, evacuation routes, and traffic signal outages.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 16, 2010Publication date: September 30, 2010Applicant: B&C Electronic Engineering, Inc.Inventors: Juan Gutierrez, Carl Johnson

Publication number: 20100005014Abstract: A system and method provide transparency of costs allocated to a unit of an organization. The method includes steps to receive asset information for an application at a cost transparency engine and identify a direct dependency of the application and an indirect dependency of the application using the asset information for the application. An infrastructure cost for the application is determined based on the direct dependency, the indirect dependency, component consumption by the application, and a unit cost of a service supporting the component. A report is generated, via a reporting tool, presenting the infrastructure cost for the application.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 25, 2009Publication date: January 7, 2010Applicant: Barclays Capital Inc.Inventors: Julie Castle, Anne Loh, Carl Johnson, Bijukumar Krishnapillai, Sharon Scanlon
