  • Publication number: 20120100557
Abstract: A sample preparation device and associated method is provided for preparing samples according to an assay protocol. A cell deposition module deposits a sample on each a plurality of assay devices supported by a support device. An epitope retrieval module deposits a reagent on each of the samples. Each of the samples is brought to a selected temperature. A heating device, corresponding to each of the assay devices, directly interacts with the corresponding assay device may be used to heat each assay device to the selected temperature, in conjunction with the epitope retrieval module depositing the reagent on each of the samples. A staining module deposits a staining reagent on each of the samples, and removes excess staining reagent. The staining, epitope retrieval, and cell deposition modules cooperate with the support device and heating devices to form a unitary sample preparation device.

  • Patent number: 8085893
Abstract: A clock recovery circuit includes a first phase detector for measuring the phase difference between a first clock signal from a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) and a data signal. A phase shifter responsive to a control signal based on this phase difference adjusts the phase of an incoming clock signal to yield a second clock signal. The phase difference between the first clock signal and the second clock signal is measured and the resulting signal is low-pass filtered to derive a control signal for controlling the VCO. The phase locked loop including the VCO filters out jitter.

  • Publication number: 20110127990
Abstract: A data system 102 permits bus encoding based on frequency of the bus; an encoding scheme may be implemented to avoid undesirable frequency conditions such as a resonant condition that may lead to degradation in system performance. The device or integrated circuit will typically include an encoder; in one embodiment, the encoder is a data bus inversion (DBI) circuit that selectively inverts all lines of a data bus. A detector that may include a band-pass or stop-band filter that, for example, evaluates data for transmission on the bus to detect frequency, for example, a predetermined frequency or a frequency range. The detector provides a control signal for the encoder to selectively apply an encoding scheme as a function of frequency.

  • Publication number: 20110023105
Abstract: Mobile clients can execute IPv6 applications in an IPv4 environment without the need for any specialized IPv6 hardware or upgrades to the network infrastructure. The architecture provides a seamless, disruption-free connectivity experience for mobile clients. Mobile clients are automatically connected to other mobile clients irrespective of their network connectively, whether wireless, wire line, IPv4, IPv6, public or private. Mobile clients communicate with other mobile clients using a secure, end-to-end IPv6 tunnel. This creates a persistent VPN connection between two clients using software.
