  • Patent number: 7401951
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a light housing installed in close proximity to a light source. The light housing has a shield and an attachment arm for securing the shield. The attachment arm allows the shield to be removably attached in close proximity to the light source. The housing optionally has an aperture allowing the housing to be installed over and/or around the light source. The housing at least partially blocks light emanating from a light source, such as an in-ground staked floodlight, and keeps the light from shining directly into the eyes of a person observing the light source. The housing also hides the unsightly components of a light source.

  • Patent number: 6776055
Abstract: A fuel mass flowmeter 10 includes a rotatable drum 22 through which fuel to be metered may pass and an impeller 24 mounted within the drum such that it may rotate relative thereto but is biased against such rotation by a spring 26. The drum 22 may be rotated as fuel is passed therethrough, the passage of the fuel past vanes 36 on the impeller causing the impeller to rotate relative to the drum 22, the extent of rotation depending upon the mass flow rate. The rate of rotation of the drum 22 is measured and a correction factor is applied to the measured mass flow rate, the magnitude of the correction factor depending upon the rate of rotation of the drum 22.

  • Patent number: 6189165
Abstract: A cot includes a base, a pair of side walls and a pair of end walls extending above the base. A transverse wall is detachably secured across the cot above the base between the side walls at a position partway along the length of the cot and serves to reduce the effective length of the cot.

  • Patent number: 4318559
Abstract: An automatic lockable linkage system for use with sliding members, such as a sliding door or window, comprising a first and second telescoping arm member pivotally interconnected adjacent to their inner end portions. Each telescoping arm member also has an outer end which is pivotally connectable to a fixed structure and a sliding member, respectively. When the sliding member is in the closed position, a lockable sliding linkage is automatically positioned over the pivotally interconnected inner end portions of the first and second telescoping arm members retaining the sliding member in the closed position.

  • Patent number: 3989404
Abstract: A dirt compacting and asphalt compacting roller unit of sufficient weight for utilization in compacting fill dirt introduced into a ditch to fill the ditch, and for utilization in compacting hot asphalt subsequently applied over the previously compacted fill dirt. The roller unit comprises a smooth-surface circumference drum shape roller with concentrically positioned shaft protruding laterally on each side. The roller has two or more detachable dirt compacting plates having multiple exteriorly projecting protrusions which, when the plates are attached to the roller, become the exterior circumference of the roller and act to compact fill dirt when the roller with plates attached is repeatedly rolled over fill dirt within a ditch. When the plates are detached, the smooth-surface circumference of the roller acts to compact hot asphalt when the roller's smooth-surface circumference is repeatedly rolled over hot asphalt subsequently applied over the previously compacted fill dirt.
