  • Publication number: 20060196457
Abstract: A valve actuator assembly includes an axially moveable valve and a ramp roller thrust drive. The ramp roller thrust drive includes at least first and second opposed thrust plates, each plate including one or more ramps. A roller is positioned between corresponding opposed plate ramps and a rotation of one of the thrust plates relative to the other thrust plate causes the plates to move axially relative to one another such that axial motion is imparted to the valve.

  • Publication number: 20050051988
Abstract: The present invention relates to an active toe control system for an automotive vehicle where the system includes a control arm or link that is axially adjustable to either shorten or lengthen the length of the control arm or link. The control arm includes an electric motor connected between the connecting points of the control arm or link, the electric motor being responsive to an electronic control unit that communicates signals the electric motor to control the rotation of the electric motor and the duration of time the electric motor is operated. The combination of components acts to actively adjust the toe of the wheels of an automotive vehicle.

  • Patent number: 4830516
Abstract: The bearing may be used in the housing of a constant velocity universal joint such as a front-wheel universal joint drive for motor vehicles. The bearing has a generally rectangular roller block provided with raceways around its entire periphery. Rollers fill all of the raceways. The ends of the raceways are defined by a pair of flexible end plates. The end plates yieldingly guide the roller ends.
