Patents by Inventor Carl Flynt Higginbotham, III

Carl Flynt Higginbotham, III has filed for patents to protect the following inventions. This listing includes patent applications that are pending as well as patents that have already been granted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).

  • Patent number: 10988191
Abstract: A load transporting apparatus may be steered while transporting a load across a base surface, and the load transporting apparatus may be operated hydraulically, electrically, or by use of an encoder. In particular, the load transporting apparatus may include a track configured to a saddle housing (a support movement for a movement assembly), and a foot that may be connected to the track. During load transport, the pad saver may be maintained in a substantially similar position relative to a frame structure supporting the load, even when the transport movement is not in a parallel direction to the orientation of the pad saver.

  • Publication number: 20200207431
Abstract: A load transporting system comprising a plurality of walking systems in the load substructure comprises transverse step window configured such that during a non-longitudinal step at least a portion of the walking system passes into the window. A portable master control unit for a load transporting system configured to be removed from the load to eliminate damage to the control unit and cables when the load is in position.

  • Publication number: 20200055556
Abstract: Systems and methods for moving at least one load transporting apparatus may include the load transporting apparatus(es) configured to move in at least one direction, at least one feedback sensing device disposed on and/or within the load transporting apparatus where the sensing device obtains movement measurements of the load transporting apparatus, a first location to receive a pre-determined input, a second location to receive the movement measurement(s), and a processing circuit to compare the movement measurement(s) to the pre-determined input. In a non-limiting embodiment, a pre-loading system may prepare the load transporting apparatus for movement prior to moving or lifting a load by depressing at least one component of the load transporting apparatus.

  • Publication number: 20190176916
Abstract: A stabilizer frame apparatus may be configured for engaging a load transporting apparatus for purposes of moving a load. The stabilizer frame apparatus may have or include a first stabilizer bar and a second stabilizer bar where the stabilizer frame apparatus is configured to operatively integrate into a load structure. The first stabilizer bar may have a first end and a second end, and the second stabilizer bar may have a first end and a second end. The first end of the first stabilizer bar may be operatively coupled to the first end of the second stabilizer bar. Similarly, the second end of the first stabilizer bar may be operatively coupled to the second end of the second stabilizer bar. In a non-limiting embodiment, the load transporting apparatus may maintain a substantially parallel configuration between the sidewalls of the load structure during movement.
