  • Patent number: 5616193
Abstract: A vehicle drive includes pneumatic tires mounted on rims and includes a track which is engaged by and cooperates with the tires. Tire-supporting elements on the track position the tires on the track. Also, the tires, on at least the surfaces which come into contact with the tire-supporting elements, have an outer rubber layer which has a high wear resistance and low friction properties and in which 50-100% is butadiene rubber.

  • Patent number: 5388624
Abstract: A vehicle drive wheel including a pneumatic tire mounted on a rim is provided with a track driven by the tire. The track comprises tire-supporting elements. At least those portions of the outer surfaces of the tire which come into contact with the inner portions of the tire-supporting elements comprise an outer rubber layer which has a high wear resistance and low-friction properties and 50-100% of the rubber is butadiene rubber. Also, an admixture of natural rubber and/or styrene-butadiene rubber can be added to the outer rubber layer in an amount of from 0 parts by weight of the admixture per part by weight of butadiene rubber to less than one part by weight of the admixture per part by weight of butadiene rubber.

  • Patent number: 5333661
Abstract: A vehicle wheel comprises a wheel rim and a pneumatic tire fitted to the rim, particularly a tubeless tire wherein the wheel rim includes seats for the tire beads. The rim seats include an elevated ridge which is spaced from the rim flanges and the tire beads have a generally corresponding configuration. With the tire fitted to the rim, the bead cores of the tire are located between the rim flanges and the elevated ridge. According to the invention, the rim is a 15.degree. rim with a 15.degree. seat surface between the rim flange and the elevated ridge. The side of the elevated ridge remote from the rim flanges extends at an angle of 15.degree.-40.degree. essentially in a straight line from the crown of the elevated ridge in a direction inwards towards the rim center. The invention also relates to a wheel rim having rim seats and elevated ridges of the same configuration.
