  • Patent number: 7787677
Abstract: A presentation method and a presentation device presents an image of an object, wherein a starting image and at least one target image of the object, a first location within the starting image, and a second location within the starting image and the at least one target image are provided. The second location is the location of a reference feature detectable in the starting image and the at least one target image. A corridor is determined in the at least one target image, wherein the corridor contains a circular line, wherein the circular line defines a circle, whose radius corresponds to a distance between the first location and the second location in the starting image and whose centre position corresponds to said second location. Finally, the corridor and the at least one target image are presented.

Assignee: MeVis BreastCare GmbH & Co. KG
Inventors: Carl J. G. Evertsz, Anke Bödicker
  • Patent number: 7672495
Abstract: A method and an apparatus display marks in an image data set, wherein an image data set comprising marks is provided and wherein during a review phase not all marks within the image data set are displayed at the same time. A list of the marks can be generated by sorting the marks depending on a predetermined sorting criterion and wherein the marks are displayed temporally one after another within the image data set in accordance with the generated list. The image data set is for example a medical image data set, wherein the marks are computer-aided detection (CAD) marks and wherein the sorting criterion is the probability of marking illness, in particular the suspiciousness.

  • Patent number: 7562039
Abstract: A method and a computer system for computing and displaying a phase space relating the performance of a variable to its volatility in an intuitive and interactive way. The method and system enables a comparison of the performances of different stock values and the development of the performance over time. Further, a sub-space of the phase space is determined corresponding to a certain probability threshold of the variables considered.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: May 29, 2001
Date of Patent: July 14, 2009
    Assignee: Mevis Technology GmbH
Inventors: Carl J. G. Evertsz, Wilhelm Berghorn
  • Patent number: 7366676
Abstract: In a method and a computer system for screening of medical cases known proven positive and/or known proven normal cases are inserted in the flow of cases during the screening. On a user's option the known cases can be infiltrated in the case stream in accordance with a fixed pattern or on a random basis. When the radiologist makes a misdiagnosis of a known case this is recognized by the system and a corresponding output message is provided to the radiologist. Further the system has a database for tracing all user actions, including the diagnostic findings for the purposes of generating a user action report, quality control and assurance, and support in litigation.

  • Publication number: 20080043036
Abstract: A method and apparatus presents cases comprising images, wherein selection values are provided, which are assigned to the cases and which are determined from the images of the respective case, wherein the presentation of the cases depends on the selection values. The sorting values are determined depending on the selection values, wherein a case list is generated by sorting the cases according to the determined sorting values and wherein the cases are presented in accordance with the generated case list. The cases can be medical cases, wherein the images are medical images, in particular mammograms, and wherein the sorting value is a measure for the difficulty of evaluating the case and/or the probability of showing an illness.
