    Abstract: A portable showering cabinet for use by non-ambulatory, aged, or other persons unable to use conventional showering and hygienic home care facilities, particularly useful for a private home, hospitality industry, residential schools, general and specialized hospitals, rehabilitation centers, and bedside care in a nursing home. The showering cabinet system provides daily hygienic care for disabled, with or without minimal assistance from a caregiver, eliminating the need for a caregiver to help a disabled person enter a shower stall and eliminating the need for a caregiver to perform the showering of the individual. The portable cabinet includes a water supply system that attaches to existing hot and cold water supply cabinets and a manually movable cabinet that has casters, allowing it to be moved easily and quickly along a floor surface to a bedside, and an improved access auxiliary seat to insure safe entrance by the patient into and out of the enclosure from a seated position on the outside of the cabinet.

    Abstract: A bathing system for ambulatory or non-ambulatory patients that includes a bathing cabinet with associated showering plumbing and a patient transporter cart that is moveable into and out of the cabinet, eliminating bodily transfer of the patient into and out of the bath from a wheelchair. The bathing cabinet has water shielded channels that receive and protect the wheels and casters of the transporter cart from becoming wet during the bathing operation when the cart is locked inside the bathing cabinet. The transporter cart includes a perianal spray that has a pipe coupling element that connects automatically during insertion of the cart to a pipe fitting disposed in the cabinet. The bathing cabinet includes a foot bathing receptacle that can be emptied with a mechanical flipper valve.The arm and foot rests of the transporter cart are removeable and can be stored on the outside of the cabinet during the bathing operation so that they do not get wet.

    Abstract: A liquid injector system for introducing, metering, and premixing a liquid hygienic agent such as soap or medicant into a stream of water flowing through a conduit for dispensing in a bath or shower array of spray nozzles. The system includes at least one manually operated piston valve mounted in the water flow line to the spring nozzles and include communication with an agent injector cylinder having a dispensing system actuated by system water pressure. The valve includes a housing with a water flow-through, direction reversal chamber in fluid communication with the reciprocally movable valve body having an axial passage terminating in a radial passage near a mid-portion of the valve body. The system ensures for positive metering and thoroughly mixing the agent in the spray system.
