Abstract: A tie is disclosed for connecting fence fabric to a post in which a pair of legs are joined at one end by a connecting section, one leg formed with corners receiving strands of the fence fabric, the other leg curved to fit the post. The legs are extended parallel to the plane of the fence with one leg over the fence fabric and the other over the post, and the ends twisted together to secure the fence fabric to the post. The twisted ends are flat to the fence to eliminate the hazard presented by protruding ends.

Abstract: A method and wire tie connection for joining wire fencing fabric and line posts, in which specially configured wire ties gripping the fencing fabric are twisted by rotating a twister implement to form a tight connection.

Abstract: A portable derrick assembly adapted for mounting on a pickup truck or a trailer, includes a base frame, a derrick tower, a tower erection subassembly, and an elongated boom pivotally mounted on the tower. A traveling sheave and cable subassembly interconnects a tail end of the boom with the tower for pivoting the boom about a pitch axis. A hoist cable is raised and lowered by a hoist traveling sheave subassembly mounted on the boom.

Abstract: A vehicle mounted dispenser for fencing fabric including a normally upright cage receiving a roll of fencing fabric to be dispensed through either of a pair of slots on either side of the cage. The cage is pivotally mounted on a holder structure attached to the vehicle to be able to be powered to a horizontal position and lowered onto the ground, so that a roll of fabric can be easily introducted through a gate opening at the front of the cage. In a rear mounted design adapted to tractors, the holder structure is powered to either side of the tractor, while in a front mounted version, an outrigger guide post system guides the fabric around the side of the vehicle.
