  • Patent number: 4494262
Abstract: A mattress cover for use on, and in combination with, a waterbed, including a rectangular fabric panel dimensioned to be longer and wider than the sleeping surface of the waterbed, and having a notch removed from at least two of the corners of the panel at one of the sides of the panel. Elastomeric retainer bands extend across each of these notches and each band has its opposite ends connected to parts of the panel on opposite sides of the respective notch. When the cover is used in combination with a waterbed of right parallelepiped configuration, the panel is superimposed on the upwardly facing sleeping surface of the waterbed, with the peripheral edge portion of the panel overhanging the sides, head and foot of the waterbed, and with the notches in the pad located at corresponding corners of the waterbed.

  • Patent number: 4227267
Abstract: A cover for a water closet seat which includes an annular panel of flexible fabric having an inner peripheral edge and an outer peripheral edge, and adapted to fit across and cover the upper surface of a water closet seat. A band of resilient material is mounted at and around the outer peripheral edge of the panel and constrictively urges the outer peripheral edge to a contracted, converged position. A hem channel is carried by the panel at its inner periphery, and is transversely traversed by a channel closure which blocks the channel at one point around its peripheral extent. At a location spaced along the hem channel from the channel closure, a channel opening is provided. A two-ended, resilient stiffening member is positioned in the channel with the two ends thereof abutting the channel closure.

  • Patent number: 4130906
Abstract: A flexible fabric cover for a water closet lid which includes an upper panel and a lower panel of substantially the same shape as the upper panel and stitched at a location adjacent the periphery thereof to a major portion of the periphery of the upper panel to retain the panels in a registering and superimposed position with respect to each other. An opening of lesser width than the maximum width of each of the panels at the center thereof separates the peripheries of the panels at one side thereof, and a pair of spaced elastomeric bands extend from opposite sides of the opening along the peripheries of the superimposed panels to join the panels to each other over portions of their peripheries adjacent the opening, thereby facilitating resilient enlargement of the opening during mounting of the cover on a water closet lid.
