  • Publication number: 20220117510
Abstract: Example methods, apparatus, systems, and articles of manufacture for determining intensity of a biological response to a presentation are disclosed. An example apparatus includes at least one memory and processor circuitry to execute instructions to identify trough-to-peak instances in first galvanic skin response (GSR) data for a first subject, the first GSR data collected from the first subject during exposure of the first subject to media content during a period of time; assign trough-to-peak scores to corresponding ones of the trough-to-peak instances; associate the respective ones of the trough-to-peak scores with a time corresponding to the trough of each trough-to-peak instances; assign window scores to corresponding ones of windows in the period of time based on the highest trough-to-peak score occurring within the corresponding windows to generate a first GSR intensity profile; and identify an element of the media content for modification based on the first GSR intensity profile.

  • Patent number: 11213219
Abstract: Example methods, apparatus/systems and articles of manufacture for determining intensity of a biological response to a presentation are disclosed. An example method includes accessing galvanic skin response (GSR) data obtained from a subject while exposed to a presentation. The GSR data includes a plurality of trough-to-peak instances. The example method includes generating a GSR intensity profile by assigning trough-to-peak scores to corresponding ones of the trough-to-peak instances, defining a plurality of time windows, and assigning window scores to corresponding ones of the time windows based on the trough-to-peaks scores of the trough-to-peak instances occurring within the corresponding time windows. The example method also includes determining an effectiveness of the presentation based on the window scores of the GSR intensity profile.

  • Publication number: 20210196188
Abstract: Systems and methods for measuring biologically and behaviorally based responses to social media, locations, or experiences and providing instant and continuous feedback in response thereto are disclosed. An example system includes a first sensor to determine an emotional response of a user exposed to a social media application, a second sensor to determine a current activity of the user, and a third sensor to determine an environment of the user. The example system also establishes a priority schedule based on the emotional response, the current activity, and the environment. The system also correlates, based on the priority schedule, an advertisement with at least one of the emotional response, activity, or the environment. In addition, the example system presents the advertisement based on the priority schedule and the correlation of the advertisement with the at least one of the activity, the environment, or the emotional response.

  • Publication number: 20100004977
Abstract: The present invention is directed to a method and system for measuring the biometric (physically, behaviorally, biologically and self-report based) responses of an audience to a presentation or interactive experience that provides a sensory stimulating experience and determining a measure of the level and pattern of engagement of that audience and impact of the presentation or interactive experience. In particular, the invention is directed to a method and system for measuring one or more biometrically based responses of one or more persons being exposed to the presentation in order to determine the moment-to-moment pattern or event based pattern and overall level of engagement. The method and system can include eye tracking to determine areas of the presentation that correspond to high and low levels of biometric responses suggesting high and low levels of visual impact.

In particular, the invention is directed to a method and system for measuring one or more biologically based responses of one or more persons being exposed to the presentation in order to determine the moment-to-moment pattern and overall level of engagement. Further, the invention can be used to determine whether the presentation or the content in the presentation is more effective in a population relative to other presentations (or content) and other populations and to help identify elements of the presentation that contribute to the high level of engagement and the effectiveness and success of the presentation for that population.
