  • Publication number: 20200028871
Abstract: Features of the present disclosure solve the above-identified problem by implementing user and entity behavior analytics (UEBA) system to group one or more computer machines into different clusters based on monitored behavior of the one or more computer machines. Specifically, a network device (e.g., administrator computer system) may monitor the activity of the one or more computer machines for a predetermined time period in order to identify the applications that the computer machines utilize. Based on the clustering and the identifying, the network device may automatically apply different access control policies for different clusters of machines and review those access control policies against future behavior periodically. By clustering machines based on usage behavior patterns and automatically recommending a rule set for deployment, the UEBA system may reduce potential points of failure for cybersecurity breaches.

  • Publication number: 20190301839
Abstract: Embodiments include active protection systems and methods for an aerial platform. An onboard system includes one or more radar modules, detects aerial vehicles within a threat range of the aerial platform, and determines if any of the plurality of aerial vehicles are an aerial threat. The onboard system also determines an intercept vector to the aerial threat, communicates the intercept vector to an eject vehicle, and causes the eject vehicle to be ejected from the aerial platform to intercept the aerial threat. The eject vehicle includes a rocket motor to accelerate the eject vehicle along an intercept vector, alignment thrusters to rotate a longitudinal axis of the eject vehicle to substantially align with the intercept vector, and divert thrusters to divert the eject vehicle in a direction substantially perpendicular to the intercept vector. The eject vehicle activates at least one of the alignment thrusters responsive to the intercept vector.

  • Patent number: 10288203
Abstract: A latching connector having a pin, a housing, and a canted coil spring is disclosed. The housing has an opening that slidably receives the pin. The housing and the pin each have a groove that is sized and dimensioned to receive a portion of the canted coil spring. The pin groove and housing groove have a curved surface with a radius that is equal to or larger than the major axis of the canted coil spring. The canted coil spring has an outer diameter that is equal to or larger than the diameter of the housing groove. Together, the pin, housing, and canted coil spring provide a latching connector with a reliable and consistent connect force and disconnect force. The latching connector provides improved electrical conductivity from the pin to the housing by providing multiple contact points with the canted coil spring.

  • Publication number: 20190052692
Abstract: A system for intermediated communication between applications running on the same computer is presented. The system routes communication between a first application and a second application through a data broker on a remote server to avoid direct communication between the applications. The first application may be a desktop application, such as a word processing application, that has an add-in installed to facilitate communication through the data broker. The second application may be a web browser that includes a web client implemented using standard functionality of the web browser, without an application-specific plug-in. The data broker operates on a remote server to receive and direct communication between the applications. By eliminating direct communication between the applications, the data broker improves system security and reliability by utilizing communication protocols and capabilities already existing within the computer.
