    Abstract: A method in blind riveting comprises the step of using a mandrel which is withdrawn completely through the tubular rivet for setting the rivet, as a drill for cutting the hole through which the shank of the rivet is to be inserted. The hole is cut by means of an eccentric drill bit on the mandrel, which can pass through the passage of the set rivet.
