  • Patent number: 11951945
Abstract: A near-field communication (NFC) entry device provides remote keyless entry (RKE) into an enclosure having an RKE control unit, a door, and a door actuator. The NFC entry device includes a housing and a printed circuit board assembly (PCBA). The housing mounts to the enclosure. The PCBA is enclosed within a cavity of the housing, and includes first and second surfaces, an RF antenna and an inductor coil connected to the first surface, and an NFC communication chipset connected to the second surface. The NFC entry device passively harvests energy from a battery powered mobile device via the inductor coil and stores the energy in the capacitor. The passively harvested energy is used to communicate a control signal to the RKE control unit, via the RF antenna, which activates the door actuator. A standby battery may be used when the capacitor is insufficiently charged.

  • Patent number: 9268883
Abstract: A method and apparatus for managing variations in a product structure for a product comprising a data manager and a visualizer. The data manager is configured to manage variations in the product structure using a model. The model includes a group of master objects having a primary hierarchical organization and a group of configuration objects having a number of secondary hierarchical organizations. Each secondary hierarchical organization in the number of secondary hierarchical organizations is associated with the primary hierarchical organization and configured to represent a variant of the product. A number of configuration objects in a secondary hierarchical organization represents a number of variations in the product structure for the product. The visualizer is configured to visually present, in a graphical user interface, information for an object selected from one of a master object in the group of master objects and a configuration object in the group of configuration objects.

  • Publication number: 20140122579
Abstract: A system allows for the delivery of products through the use of 3D printing technology, enabling a non-technical user to locate, select, and print a product with minimal effort. The system provides a listing of one or more 3D object files for display to a user at a client machine. Once a user selects one or more 3D object files, the system establishes a network connection between the online server and the client 3D printer and then streams the selected 3D object file from the online server to the 3D printer in a format supported by the 3D printer. The system may also process received 3D object files to produce a plurality of formatted 3D object files, each formatted 3D object file converted to a format based on the received set of printing parameters and a set of capabilities for a different 3D printer of a plurality of 3D printers.

  • Patent number: 5410265
Abstract: An amplifier calibration apparatus for use in an audio device which processes an audio signal. The audio device includes a manual volume control for manually altering the gain of the signal. An amplifier which may include a digital potentiometer serves to alter the gain of the audio signal in response to a control signal. The amplifier calibration apparatus, which serves to automatically calibrate the amplifier, includes a controller; a waveform generator, which generates a known waveform, and a comparator circuit. The known waveform is fed into the amplifier and the resulting amplifier output is fed into the comparator circuit. The comparator compares a constant signal to the amplifier output resulting in a comparison output indicative of any difference between the two signals. The comparison signal is operably connected to the controller such that the controller can calibrate the full scale point of the amplifier.
